One of the Browning 1911-22 A1, the scaled down models caught my eye the other day. I like the feel and looks of it. I have no idea why I need one or what I will ever do with it but I feel sure I can come up with some good reason.

Has anyone had one of these?

How did they shoot?

Should I just lay down and wait for the mood to pass?

I bought one early on, then sold it. Problem was that the only way to sight it in was to have the rear sight so far to the right that it looked like it was about to fall off. Clearly something was wrong.

Isn't this a 3rd party production with a Browning name anyway?

Remind me again which firearms are actually produced at a Browning manufacturing facility.

But the 1911-22 is great.

No idea. I just assumed most were from that Jap plant where their rifles and shotguns were made,and I thought FN made some High Powers. I've never been a Browing fan.

That's because you never had a 1911-22..... or a BL-22, or a SA22.... or a buckmark

I've had the 1911/22 since they came out. Love it, shoots well, functions very well.

My niece's husband bought one, really liked it but the hammer bit him. He was going to sell it to fund a Black Label but my niece said "No, it's mine." So he sold the Ruger Mk II he never used to me and bought the Black Label - now we're all three happy!

I've shot his Black Label, like it a lot.

P.S. Niece's husband likes the BL so much that he'll probably purchase a 1911-380.

I thought Buckmarks were. Could be wrong.

I had assumed (yeah, I know) that meant Browning actually manufactured them, but it seems they are outsourced to Arms Technology, Inc.

Love mine, reminded me how much fun rimfires can be.
Definitely spend the extra $ for the Black Label, mucho better sights.

Yesterday a friend showed me his new Browning 1911 .380. It was the fancy version like the one on the bottom. Very nice but if I was to carry a .380 I'd opt for a smaller gun...but that's just me.
