Pretty neat combo.
So, according to the other thread, you'd shoot the 10mm for practice and load .40 S&W when you want some heavy hitting power...

Why not a .41 Magnum instead?

...that was my question...a run of stainless steel .41s would be nice.
I also wonder about how bad bullet pull would be with full load 10mms since the round is going to have to headspace on the case mouth...
It is however very nice for Ruger to do a run of these pistols for 10mm Loonies....

I see a 4 5/8 inch barreled one in my future with an immediate rechambering of the .40 cylinder to a tight cambered .38-40

Exactly! Who wants/needs a 40 S&W cylinder?!
And just when I thought I was done buying Rugers!

They screwed the pooch by not building these on the Mid Flat Top frame.

I like it. Would be a really easy route to a 10mm Magnum if someone wanted.

...just thinking...besides 38-40 one could also have this made into a .401 Herter's PowerMag... Reeds Ammo makes ammo...

Won't the case mouth be in the cylinder chamber?
