Trying a new bullet for the 45 ACP. I want which will work in both sixgun & autoloader. I purchased a mould & cast a few. You can read about it here: https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...s/13114746/accurate-45-200e#Post13114746

I sized & lubed them yesterday & loaded a few hundred today. Hope to shoot them tomorrow. Here's a 5 minute video. Sorry it is out of focus at the end.

Nice...I shoot the same bullet but a 230 grain...they shoot good in revolvers also.... Never tried any in a .45 Colt however...just ACP and AR.

I'll be shooting these only in the ACP case. I thought of going heavier but probably a c-dog will be the largest thing I'll shoot.

Tried the bullet for function in a 1911.

I'm shooting basically that same bullet, I think it's a Lee mold. It drops wheel weight at 205 I think. Never had an issue with it in either of my 1911s. They are both mil-spec though. I'm shooting it over unique; but I don't recall the charge right now.

The Lee TC mold design is listed at 230 grains, and usually drops a little heavier in my experience. I've machined the blocks down to cast lighter so that's an option, but out of the box it's definitely a different bullet. The Lee TC design has more rounded edges on the nose too; I prefer the sharper edges on that Accurate bullet, but that's a minor preference.
I'll have to look at the blocks and see what they are. They definitely cast 205. I post up a pic as well.
Not surprisingly Ya'll were right. It's not a Lee mold but an NEI

You can see with the lube it's a little heavier; but for my purposes that doesn't matter.
For what it's worth, I've loaded these in my 45colt for light plinking loads. I've never tried to see how good they'd shoot. I've just used them to plink cans etc. and they work fine for that.

Good looking bullet

Just for comparison, here is the Lee bullet, well, my version anyway. I've done some minor alterations, sorry but don't have a pic of the unaltered version. As you can see, I think the Lee bullet has a heavier base, and probably a smaller meplat as well.

The bullet on left appears to have the heel for a gas check??? Or is it just the picture???
