no larry uncle sam supply's me with a piece. we need to catch up when i get back from my Caribbean vacation
Nice. I've owned several including my first 45 auto. Many of them weren't reliable with anything other than Ball though. A feedramp re-profile with polishing will normally alleviate that.
If warranted, try a decent hybrid magazine before any needless bubba feed ramp foolishness. Also, when field stripping the pistol be sure to push the slide back just enough to take the spring pressure off before turning the bushing. That prevents the collet fingers from twisting under pressure and they can last a looong time.
Get you a case of 230gr ball and wear that old girl in Bobby, Congrats!
A Colt 1911 by any other name is not a Colt.
Congrats
