I like pocket carry and normally use Wrangler cargo Pants But got to looking around and found these and wondering if anyone has used these pants for pocket carry.
Curious whether the hip pockets are deep enough and big enough for Pocket carry?
I have About t of the 4 pocket bdu Shirts,Jackets 100% cotton and really like them.
comfortable with plenty of big pockets to hold a cell phone, truck keys,smokes and a LCP with viridian Laser and Holster.
Hell I can also carry a G26 or Bersa Thunder plus in the waist pockets.

I've got the Popper BDU in green. The front slash pocket will hold a S&W 442 in an Uncle Mike's No. 3, but I have to use a bit cloth to keep the frame from wearing a hole in the cotton ripstop. For the cargo pocket I would need some other arrangement to keep it butt up. Good knockabout britches.

Good stuff right there!!!I have several pairs of those and they last forever. And they have a metal snap button instead of a pos sewn on plastic button that pops off after a few uses on most trousers.

I can carry a G42 in a Remora w/ the reinforced mouth in the cargo pockets of these short and long pants. The long pants are showing currently sold out right now though.

I like the 100% Cotton for the Comfort and Breathability ,Don't mind the buttons as if one pops off I will just sew it back on and really like the price .

I am going to buy 2 or three pair

If I like them as much as I like the shirts I will be pleased
I checked on the dimensions of the Pockets and was told they were about 10 deep x 7 wide for the waist/slash Pocket and about 10 inches deep x 9 inches wide

I don't like cargo pocket pants or shorts much for anything bigger than a mouse sized 380................simply too much movement.

Front pocket carry works much better for me with the right gun / pant combo.

I like the Duluth Trading Post Fire Hose Flex pants. they are pricey, but they have an outlet store in town that sells returns at 1/2 price.

I can, and do, carry a full size, 5" 1911 in the front pocket.

They’re more expensive, but they do not wear out. They make them the same in shorts.

The pants you linked appear to have the conventional diagonally and narrowly slit pockets.

The ones I linked have a 1.5” horizontal opening at the bottom of the pocket. This allows you to easily draw the pistol straight up in one swift motion. With a conventional pocket, you generally have to tilt the pistol in the pocket before drawing it at an angle.

Also the 5.11 pants have roomy pockets and, of all pants I own, print less than any other. I like darker colors, like navy blue, because that also seems to help. I put my Sig. P938 in a Sticky brand holster and put a Bic lighter and a Chap Stick in front of, and at the bottom of, the holster. That seems to break up the outline a bit.

I am another who uses Duluth Trading Co. Firehose Pants with cargo pockets. But after a year and a half the rear sight wore a hole in the pocket. I guess it will last only so long with a 1911 pocket carried. Looking for the cut offs from when we fitted the pants. The pant leg material is way heavier than the pocket material. I thought about that stuff when we started with those pants and should have followed up with the reinforcement first. The change division in the bottom of the right front pocket holds the barrel in the correct position for draw. It takes some practice to not reach back to my right side for the draw. But you have to practice with any new set up for carry. Be Well. Rusty

I like the Riggs brand work pants or carpenter pants made by Wrangler. Nice big front and rear pockets. The back pockets are reinforced with cordura or something to prevent tools from quickly wearing through. The also have an extra gusset in the crotch for plenty of room and maneuverability. They are a rip stop cotton. Very comfortable and extremely durable.
I wear them almost everyday and everywhere.
Sold at Orscheln Farm and Home stores and Menards. At least around here. $38 to $40.

Cargo Pocketed BDU Pants When Unbloused look just about like any number of brands of Cargo Pants if Khaki color.
With the number of people who wear Khaki Cargo Pants and Cargo shorts it is doubtful that they are looked at or want to be a gun toting Rambo wannabe .
Wearing all camo with the pants bloused over lace up black boots might give a Military Look

I wear Khaki BDU shirts Made by Propper with 4 pockets and wear the shirt which has the long Square tail that covers the Khaki pants pockets along with a Sunbody off White Palm hat with a 3 inch brim,with brown, round toe Ariat boots with rubber work soles.

One guy told me I was dressed like Stewart Granger from an old African Movie and several that have said that they liked the shirt,pants and hat and asked me where I bought them and how much they cost but no one has ever said that I was dressed like Rambo.
