Watching the reviews on YouTube, I see several guys are having hang ups and feeding issues. Anyone here experienced the same problems?
I went today to my dealer to buy one and got delayed on my background....it may be a blessing. I might just tell them no thanks after watching these reviews.

I will pray for your soul for posting that here on the Sig 365 Forum.

No doubt hung up on glocks, and choking at the idea of anything else...
The 365 XL feels amazing in the hand and has a host of features I want, but I’ll be damned if I want something that has feeding issues. Just trying to see if it’s just a few guns or the whole lot.

Was on of the videos from MAC? They don’t don’t like the p365/365xl

I’ve almost 250 rounds through mine.

No problems.

I did give it a good cleaning before the first shot.

It was two totally different outfits reviewing it. Harry’s Holster was one of them. Same problem....it would hang up when it got hot. The hotter the gun got, the more it would fail to feed rounds.

have a newish 365 with safety that would not feed Federal HST.....it would feed any RN ball and Hornaday XTP s

the problem IMO seems to be sloppy mag followers (including a new 12 rounder) that allow the cartridges to nose dive and jam up solid against the feed ramp

I believe I fixed the issue by putting an upward kink in the mag springs to put extra pressure on the forward part of the follower , but Ive got some Lakeline metal followers and springs on the way to see if they are better than the factory plastic

Thanks for the input.
These guys were reporting problems with a variety of ammo including Sigs own ammo.

yup , I had a few Sig hollowpoints and they could tie up the gun too , but not quite as often as the HST

the nose profile is very similar between the HST and the Sig hollowpoints

I’ve shot the cheap, Winchester steel ammo.

For a company of Sigs reputation,
They sure seen to be willing to release premature product lately.

Sure seems to be the case. As soon as I laid hands on one, I knew I wanted it. The design and ergos are amazing. However, it appears it needed more R&D. Disappointing to say the least.

I only have about 150 rounds through my XL, including Speer 124 standard pressure Gold Dots, Winchester White Box, and 124 jacketed handloads, with no issues, but that is way too early to sign off on the gun. My original P365 (dated October 2018) is good to go, with over 2600 through it with only one slight glitch weak-hand only on about the second magazine.

When it comes to YouTubers having a commercial interest of some sort, I now treat them about the same as the national news media, agenda driven and muckraking.
Against my better judgement, I picked it up today along with a 15 round magazine. I hope it’s function can match it’s excellent ergonomics.

the Lakeline follower/ springs came and it appears that they solved the HST problem with my particular gun

I wouldnt be scared of these guns prolly 99% work fine right oughta the box , and some minor tweaking will likely fix the rest.....or Sig will fix you up if it comes to that
Update...ran 400 Winchester 115 Gr White box through this morning. Twenty six failure to return to battery. Same issue as the reviews I mentioned on YouTube. Looks like back to Sig she goes...disappointing for a $600 pistol.

you are saying the rounds fed OK , but the gun did not fully chamber ?

seems like a peculiar malfunction to get.........?
Posted By: Cheyenne Re: Sig P365 XL Problems - 09/23/19
I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I find that I experience less disappointment with 9mms when I run them with 124 factory Gold Dots right out of the box. I'll even throw in some +P rounds if I have some handy. Then I go to the WWB and handloads. I will shoot mine more and report after hunting season.

Yes...bang, fully extract, new round heading home, slide stops about 1/2” short of chambering the new round.
Gun is on its way back to Sig. Of course the CS guy said I was gay...”limp wristing” it. Or that it was the Winchester White Box....or the CLP that they recommend in the owners manual. Couldn’t possibly be the pistol that they rushed onto the market.
Gun is accurate as [bleep] but is garbage to me if it isn’t reliable. We will see...

Shot mine this evening while checking deer cameras.

50 rounds of Winchester steel case. No issues.

I hate you are having problems.

Thanks. Done already

Flush mount floor plates finally came yesterday.

Converted a couple mags to 365xl style.

Now can shoot a whole box in one sitting.
Update...pistol is back in my possession. Sig inspected and replaced the recoil spring. They said they put 54 rounds through it with proper functions and no failures.
I am anxious to verify. But I must admit that the turn-around was quite impressive.

Hopefully you’ll be set!
It seems “right” now...zero FTF in 400 rounds. I ran it hard and hot. Pretty pleased with it. It’s accurate as hell. Feels awesome in the hand. I’m gonna put another 500 through it before I carry it.

What are you gonna prove with next 500 rounds? I think you'd be better off working on some stoppage drills.
Prove it will function flawlessly with a variety of actual carry ammo. Not hardball fluff stuff I’ve been shooting. The issue was the gun, not me. Before I trust my life to it, I’m gonna be damn sure it goes bang.

I now have 400 rounds through the gun and can give an interim report. I love the gun and the way it shoots. I did not have to mess with the sights at all. At about round 300 yesterday, about 40 rounds after last cleaning the gun, I had a light primer strike with a 124 grain handload. It fired on restrike. I have not chronographed the load yet through this gun. I do get very occasional light primer strikes with this ammo in other guns due to a weird batch of Winchester brass from some WWB that resulted in bad primer seating, but I cannot say that this event was not a gun problem. I ran 50 Blazer Brass through it today with zero functioning issues, including some prone at 100 yards. I shot some strong hand only and weak hand only yesterday with my handloads with no issues.

I do think that the gun is slightly undersprung. If the gun is empty and I retract the slide a little bit and release it, it will snap back into place. If I do that with a round in the chamber and a loaded magazine in the magazine well, it is sluggish and does not regularly return to battery. This is more noticeable if the gun is dirty.

I also have some uneven wear marks on the lettering on the right and left sides of the barrel, and some "chatter" marks on the left and right edges of the barrel hood that may need a little more wear-in.

Sig already could have done a rolling change to the recoil springs. My gun is a very early model with a July 11 "born on" date on the box. I am thinking that the additional weight of optics could further impact the ability of the slide to return fully to battery.

The gun worked great with all of the factory ammo I have run through it, and I have no concerns about carrying it. I hope to break out the Labradar sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Brought the short one with safety home for the Viking Fire princess. She had tried one last week and loved it.
Probably got two hundred through it, it flat runs with anything we’ve loaded or bought. I really like it as in I carried it this morning. Forgot I had it. She says I’ll get one for my birthday

I have the P365 original model. I probably have around 1500 rounds through it without a feeding hiccup so far. I haven't read of any feeding issues with my model, although there were other quality control issues I had to iron out.
I thought I might have feeding issues with the 12 round mags but didn't. Reason being the pinky extension. I had a baby Glock 10mm years ago that had feeding problems whenever I used the extended mags with the pinky extension. When I gripped the pistol, my finger would pull the bottom of the mag rearward aiming the bullet directly at the feed ramp. The problem would get worse with hollow points and a carboned up feed ramp. I haven't shot or handled an XL, but maybe this could be part of the problem, although I think the SIG mags fit much tighter than the Glock mags did the way the recess is cut in the SIG grips.
