I have read about Charter Arm’s past checkered quality control issues and the false starts they have had with their patented rimless ammunition cylinders, but I am still intrigued with this offering. With all the inexpensive 9mm ammunition that is available and this stainless 6” barreled revolver available for less than $400.00, why should a guy not give it a spin? CP.
Cp I'm no guru but of the snub .38s Momma picked a charter and used regularly.Far as the 9 wheelgun get it and let us know if it's quality or you three it in a ditch.
Their actions are rough and DA trigger pulls heavy and gritty. If they were as cheap as a Taurus, they be a good deal but they cost as much as a S&W J, so why not just get the better gun. They are also vying with Sig for "The Most Stupid Variations of a Single Gun Award".
tru stories, their I was at the mensa meetin and them mensa peeps was showin there guns, 9 from the 10 mensa's spoken to the fabulus Carter pisstols. Many with brains of Einsine will picks the carter guns, that glockduffos says he had near a dosen of them.
I looked at a 4" adj sighted 44sp.

Really wanted to buy it, reputation scared me.

Something I just don't understand about these companies,
And I include Ruger in there.

You build a factory, buy machines, train and pay workers,
Buy raw materials, then turn them into a mediocre pistol for $400.
People buy that [bleep].

Just think what the $400 pistol cost to make.

If you invested $25 more, it could be much better.
And you could charge $435. Proudly.

I've had a few CA model 85's over the years and still have one that the wife keeps in her car. I've never had a bad one. I've had several of the "bulldog 44's" over the years and they are nice. I gave my BIL a 44 Special target model 4". He likes it a lot and it shoots well for him. I've got a stainless one that I keep in the truck just as a back up.
At some point I will have an XL in 45 Colt, they just seem like a good gun. I believe Dave had a Pitbull and gave it a positive report. Seems like his was a short barreled gun and the grips were taped to maybe make them a little bigger. That's good enough for me.

You are right. Had a few brain farts lately.
On second thought, I believe I’ll just move on to something else.
