Big, clunky, ugly old gun that always works. Don't really know why anybody would want one unless it was uber-cheap. Too many better, inexpensive options, such as the M&P.
They aren't much to look at today, but they paved the road for the M&Ps and other plastic marvels that followed. I still have a P89, can't seem to find a reason to get rid of it. Like everyone said, dead nuts reliable, just butt ugly by today's standard.
