I do. It works. Dead nuts reliable accurate enough, easy to shoot.

My experience with the one I had for years was the same.

I'm a huge fan of the P90 and the older 9mm variants. Love them.

Those old school Ruger P85, through P94 series of pistols have reliability that boat anchors and anvils envy. I don't think that you can wear one out.

Big, clunky, ugly old gun that always works. Don't really know why anybody would want one unless it was uber-cheap. Too many better, inexpensive options, such as the M&P.

They aren't much to look at today, but they paved the road for the M&Ps and other plastic marvels that followed. I still have a P89, can't seem to find a reason to get rid of it. Like everyone said, dead nuts reliable, just butt ugly by today's standard.

I had one once that shot sub 1 inch groups at 25 yards with every damn load I ever put in it; absolutely amazing. Everyone I have ever shot has been either accurate or very accurate, and completely reliable! They’re very chunky, the ergonomics are not so great. If you get one cheap, it’s a good pistol.

Ive seen Ruger P89s and P90s in the $225 price range lately.

My experience was different. A P85 9mm. Functionally it was perfect. Hitting the broad side of a barn door not so much. It went down the road quickly. I even told the person buying that it was not accurate. He was convinced that it could be. He finally admitted it was not accurate, even after all the stuff he tired.

My P-90 was VERY accurate.

IIRC, the P-85 was Ruger's first centerfire auto. They had some bugs which were pretty much worked out by the P-85 Mk.II and certainly by the P-89. By the time the P-90 came out, they had a very reliable and accurate pistol.

They're just big and clunky by today's standards and if I had one, I probably wouldn't sell it low enough to get rid of it. Conversely, buyers can get all sorts of newer designs in the $300 range, especially if you go used. There's nothing wrong with one as far as functionality or accuracy and even beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Lots of people didn't like their looks from the get-go. There's not much difference between them and the P-85 or anything in between. Lots of people don't like the look of a Glock either though.

I've owned all models mentioned and never had any problems with any of them.
