I can easily conceal my 4 inch 629.
I am loading 44 Special brass and Lyman #429421

I can load to 1,200 fps with magnum brass
but maybe with a lesser powder charge with 44 Special cases.
For a lighter load.
laughiing. It's one reason I pray for cooler weather here in Florida. Yesterday I carried a full size 1911, today it's gonna be a six inch S&W 25-5 with the .45 Colt cylinder.
Nothing like packing an N frame.
How do you carry your N frame? What type of holster? I’m a big strong guy but years of carpentry has my lower back where it doesn’t like the squeeze of a heavy belt. I can carry my Kahr MK9 well with IWB holster but would love to carry my N frame Mountain Gun sometime.
70 here in Charleston this afternoon...much as I’d like to carry an N frame, guess I’ll stick with the 365.
200gr Gold Dots is what I would use in a 44 special
Check out Pistol Packaging in Maple Plain Minnesota. They make the holsters right there.
I have the Majic.
It has a magnet that holds it in place over your existing belt.

Wear mine on a Hank's belt using a Bianchi Thumb Break holster, crossdraw.

If a belt bothers you, get a chest or shoulder rig.
My Python came with an '80's Safariland brown basketweave thumb break holster. It's AWESOME for exposed carry, but it just plain sucks for concealed. I need to call Eric Larson and have him make me a presentation version of one of his Pancakes, or an Askin's Avenger.

Proper !!!!
I can't remember the last time I shot copper jacketed bullets. I like #2 alloy or else linotype.
I do use copper in deer rifles and prairie dog guns.

smokinggun , I carried my N Frame in a shoulder rig.....hardly knew it was there! memtb
Milt Sparks NFR cross draw for me. Out of the way of a rifle or shotgun, able to sit in a vehicle or on a horse. Very well made, I'm happy with it.
LOL, damn, the only N Frames I have are a 6 inch 45 ACP and an 8-3/8ths pre-27 357 mag, that cool old vintage leather holster TheKid sent me has about 5 inches hanging out the bottom of my Carhart, works just fine for farm duty.
Lugged a 629-1 4" in a shoulder holster for a couple yrs.
Neck problems....no mo' shoulder rigs.
180's on max WW296.

6" on hip, Ross leather of some sort.
No 629s at the moment. Liked em.

Went to 1911, now am higher cap full size 9mm (HK P30L).

Might get another 6" 629-3

That’s what I need to try for winter carry.

Have not carried an N-frame much except when hunting but in 2013 and 2014 when visiting Mackay Sagebrush, Idaho Shooter and a few more CF members I did carry a 4" Model 57.

For strong side carry I use either a belt slide holster made by a friend or a DeSantis Speed Sccabbard. For IWB I either use no holster at all or a REMORA.

I have REMORAs and Speed Scabbards for most of my guns be they semis or revolvers...

An entire thread devoted to N frames and not a single pic? We're slipping...
