I'm sure I've read something here about switching calibers in the M&P but don't recall specifics. I have a full size M&P 40 (not 2.0), what's it take to make it a 9mm? Barrel and mags of course, but what else? Are the barrels drop-in?

TIA

When I had one it required a conversion barrel (KKM was my preference) and 9mm mags. That was all. Mine actually worked and cycled pretty much flawlessly.

You can use S&W 9mm barrels. They don't fit tight, but the guys over on the S&W claim accuracy doesn't suffer much with this setup.

I’ve got a KKM 40-to9 conversion barrel that’s been perfect.
Thank you, gentlemen. I see that Storm Lake and KKM are essentially the same price, any reason to choose one over the other?

I’ve had both in several calibers. Prefer KKM myself.
