Sweet, should serve you well. I've been looking to add another rimfire can and the TBAC is at the top of my list.

Hows it compare to your sparrow?
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: more quiet time.... - 09/21/20
smaller diameter so it clears pistol sights better. and no first round pop.

How much did it set you back?, I have been thinking about the Sparrow....
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: more quiet time.... - 09/21/20
$395+stamp. Funny thing is, the takedown22 was cheaper than the SparrowSS AND either of the 2 TBAC cans that weren't user servicable....

Congrats on the new can hunts, I have a pair of Dead Air masks and they are a hoot to shoot on rimfires. Makes me smile almost every time I pull the trigger.

When were you approved?

I was approved in April but still don't have my Nomad...annoyed as hell.
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: more quiet time.... - 09/22/20
check cashed March 19th, approved Aug 27th. About 6 months this time. The first ones were almost a year. I have another approved 9-15, so probably getting close on it.

I bought a Sparrow...it was in stock and at a reduced price.
Just gotta do the paperwork when it shows up to the FFL.

Did my paperwork for my first Saturday, I went with the switchback.

THAT is a nice looking rig. If I didn't have objections to submitting the required info to A-tee-eff, I'd want mine to look like that. Outstanding!

Super nice rifle. I have a sparrow and it does have the first round pop. Only thing that kind of bugs me. How much improvement did you see with this can?
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: more quiet time.... - 10/10/20
the first round pop on the Sparrow never bothered me much. But the takedown22 has none. So I guess that's an improvement...

It only bugs me when I am trying to shoot something in my backyard. Damn neighbors. Sure would be nice to be able to buy cans over the counter. My sparrow will have to do.....

I lived in Colorado for 12 years and cans where legal. Never occurred to me to buy one. Then, I move back to the Iowa to be closer to family. Cans not legal but they changed up the laws and then legal. All of the sudden I had to have one, bought two. At that time they were trying to pass national legislation to legalize them. But, couple of shootings derailed those efforts. Anyway... nice rifle, also like your pictures and post.
