I picked up a Marlin 25N at my LGS today. I wasn't really in the market for a .22 rimfire but I have a 1998 vintage Marlin 25MN .22WMR and I thought this would make a nice match to it.
Came complete with a Tasco Pronghorn 3X9 scope.

Date code in serial number dates this one as 1999 vintage.

Doesn't look like the gun was used very much, not a scratch or mark on it, no bluing wear, nothing. A look with the borescope does show carbon in the barrel, but sharp clean rifling. I'm out of JB Borepaste and can't find it anywhere, so bringing the barrel down to bare steel and Dyna Bore coating it will have to wait.

Overall a very nice .22, especially for it's age.

Have one exactly like it with a old Bushnell 4x Scopechief on it. Accurate as heck. Enjoy.
I have a 15y ss (2002) that looks eerily similar. It is/was my daughters' first gun. Has fiber optic sights and a silver Simmons 22mag scope. I think I'll have to get it out and run a few through it. Very accurate and well made. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours a bunch. Well done๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
Nice pickup
Had a buddy in town and we stopped by the lgs. Had one on the rack, told him he needed to get it or I would. I had picked up a nice old 783 awhile back.
Accurate rifles, good score!
