Does anyone know where I can buy the front sight inserts for a Remington 41P? They seem to be rare as hen's teeth!

I had a 41P about 15 years ago. Had the same issue back then. I have an insert in my toolbox, but I'm not sure what rifle it is for.

What is the max. dia. of the insert, and where are the tabs located (9:00 & 3:00, or ?)?

Hello Jerry, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner, I've been having health issues and been out of town. I measured the front sight housing and it measures at .435 I.D. I looked at GPC and they picture several different styles but they are all out of stock. Looks like 3 tabs located at 9, 12, and 3 with the ones at 9 and three being a little bit wider.

My insert is apparently not the one you're looking for. Has two tabs and is 0.445" dia.

Before I found the correct insert, I modified one to use.
