Just purchased a Ruger American Rimfire 22 WMR LTR 22” on gunbroker. Anyone have one ? It should be an economical way to shoot a lot.
Depends on your notion of economical I guess.

Still hard to beat .22LR, even at $.08-$.09 a round. .223 is about $.50-$.60 if you look around online, 9mm about $.30.

12ga target loads sold by my club are $.32, cheap fun to my mind, even when you factor in the $.20 per each clays.

The LTR is a nice rifle. However, if I were wanting something more "economical", I'd go with the 22lr instead. I'll bet they are both great shooters, but the 22lr will be much easier on the pocket book. A good example is the recent posts of Norma Tac 22lr for less than $40/brick (500). 22wmr is more like $17-20/50. Quite a big difference in price for ammo. Availability has been a bigger issue with 22WMR as well..
