Any you guys have a 141 sporter? I know it’s a 64 action and not a 54 but what’s the pros and cons ? Just bought one offline supposedly nice… anxious to try it out and see how it compares to my 1710, cz452, tikka, Kimber!

My first rifle, 1966. Still have it. Trigger is inferior to that on the later SA 164. But 141 wood is nicer, more figure.

Shoots every bit as good as my 164. But not like your 1710 (I have a 1712).

OTOH, the 64 action sporters make nicer field propositions - accurate enough, but not like lugging a M14.
My thoughts exactly! I wanted it for more of a use gun than shooting match. The 1710 is my squirrel match rifle thanks for your input! Any other downfall than the trigger?

No. And the trigger isn't horrible, just not as easily adjustable. Like any 64 sporter but, typically, better wood. Less Euro-styled (no schnabel, no rollover, flat beavertail with forend tip). I use it, and the 164, a heckuva lot more than the 1712 and a 52C. Mine does 3/8" to 3/4" for 5 CCI SV or sub-HPs at 50 yds w/minimal wind.
Had one. Dark wood.
Pretty.
Shot great.
Had that long light trigger pull.
Just picked it up today will get it scoped up and let y’all know how it shoots and my thoughts on the trigger…
