I called Trigger Tech to inquire about buying a new trigger pull weight adjustment screw for my Rem 700 Field model trigger. ( added trigger due to my confusing text)
He said they would send one out free of charge.
As we continued to talk about how much I liked the trigger, he added that it was safe to shoot the rifle with the screw completely out of the housing. That it would measure within an ounce or so from 2-1/2 lbs.
Since that is about where I was hoping to get when I tried adjusting it down from 3-3/4 lbs I think I’m good.
Feels great, nice and crisp.

They are making a 700 field model rimfire?

He may have posted in the wrong place BUT - there are at least 2 22lr rifles based on the Rem700 action (not made by Rem) that use Rem 700 triggers.

Vudoo and Bergara B14R and the Trigger Tech is often touted as the bee's knees in said rifles.
And the RimX, too.....

My Bergara B14R wears a Triggertech Diamond that a fellow forum member was able to get me a deal on. My first and it is a killer trigger.
Oops! Sorry I forgot the details.

Christensen Arms Ranger 22lr.
The hex socket set screw for trigger weight adjustment had half the top busted off. I was able to get aholt of it with blunt forceps and screw it out. It’s a pretty complicated li’l bugger and couldn’t be replaced with a regular socket head set screw. It is flatted on two sides with prongs on the end working with a four position cam. 1/4 turn clicks.
The TriggerTech model # is the Rem 700 Field. The Christensen Arms Ranger uses a Rem 700 pattern trigger as does Bergara in both their B-14R 22lr
and the BMR.
