Anyone using the Waltz's dies to alter their 22 lead bullets?
Would like to hear your results before ordering a set.

Friend and I kill pigeons with HPs made from CCI SV. They kill as well as the factory subsonic HPs. On average there's a slight but detectable improvement in accuracy. Haven't tried the other punch.

I've been using his die now a few months. The HP punch definitely works to make a more effective round from a solid roundnose. If feeding through a semi, you have to watch that you don't make the HP too large. The same goes for the flat nose side of the punch. In terms of accuracy, it will tighten up groups for good ammo but won't do much for bulk ammo that shoots large groups. Check with folks over at rimfirecentral as well.

A friend and I have been using his die for about 3 years and it works well. Depending on the ammo the results you get plus the rifle liking that particular ammo. Use the HP mostly but tried the flat target point just for fun on some Remington Thunder Duds and they shot great out my CZs. Killed a few squirrels and a turkey with them. Get the die you'll like it.
