Rosewood tip, iron sights, serial number suggests 1992 DOM, NY followed by 136.

Gonna put her up for sale, need to know what she is.

P
Standard A-bolt 22
Nice rifle!

Any extra mags?
By standard do you mean Grade 1?
Yep. Grade 1/std
Not the gold medallion
Copy

I need to find the rear sight, pretty sure I have a spare mag, so 2 total. She might not have had the rear sight when I bought her, I don’t recall tapping it out.
Yee Ha, I found the rear sight and the spare magazine. The mag is still in the original packaging.

P
That's a nice rifle
I love your wood
That new mag is worth more than that scope.

I’ll take it where I can find it.

This would be a great point for a “your mom” reference but I don’t know you well enough for that kind of insult.

To be fair, you tossed a hanging curveball over the plate with your comment.

P
Shoot me a price.

Thanks.

Gold medallion .22lr and a Grade I .22WMR along with my Gold medallion .30-06.
Owned a pile of them in .22LR , laminated stock, STD’s and this GM. Got the original box and an extra 5rd and 10rd mag still in the box with it. Tried to sell it last year with no luck. Paid $500 for that .22WMR 10 years ago and wouldn’t take twice that for it.

She’s for sale now but I want to make sure I’m accurate in my listing. I think she’s a Browning A Bolt Medallion .22 LR.

Not a standard because of the gloss, checkering, and rosewood tip. Not a Gold Medallion, because of no engraving.

Such as: https://www.browning.com/products/firearms/rifles/a-bolt/a-bolt-medallion.html

And: https://www.browning.com/support/date-your-firearm/a-bolt-22-rifle.html

What says those who know more than I do?

P
sold years ago.

hitman was right, as reinforced by your serial number/date your firearm link. There were only two variants of the rimfire: Grade I or Gold Medallion. The 136 denotes Grade I. The other A-bolt page you listed is centerfire only.

Help me understand the verbiage on the second link, low on the right side.

Serial
Number Example:
01001PT136
This would be an A-Bolt 22 Medallion rifle, manufactured in 1986 with the serial number 01001.

Mine is NY136

Doesn’t that make it a Medallion (136) DOM 1992 (NY)?

P
Your rifle is a grade 1/std Abolt 22 . There is no such thing as a Medallion Abolt 22. Only grade 1 standard or Gold medallion. Re read PB’s post above.

I see what you're saying; I believe they are incorrect in adding "Medallion." (They got their own example wrong.) There are only 2 options for the rimfire: G36 = Gold Medallion or 136 = Std/Grade 1. Yours ends in 136, therefore, Std/Grade 1.
