Once upon a time I had:
3 10/22
2 M 39A
1 MkII
1 SW Mod17
and 1 .17hrm

but they all got sold. Or something.
Posted By: 700LH Re: Counted my rimfires today... - 12/31/09
To many but never enough. I'd need to go count to be sure.
I counted mine and found these...

Ruger Bearcat
Remington Model 510
Marlin 39A Golden Mountie
Winchester '06
Colt Officer's Model Match
Kimber Classic

Then I counted the cases of ammo...

And decided I had better start shooting these guns, I have more ammo than I could burn in a lifetime.

3sixbits: I am not "bragging" but I have 41 Rifles and pistols in caliber 22 L.R. (24 Rifles and 17 pistols!)!
Then in 17 HMR I have 1 Rifle and 1 pistol.
Then in 22 Magnum I have 1 Rifle and 3 pistols.
And I just got a new Rifle in 17 Mach2.
For a total of 46 rimfires.
I "felt the need" - I guess?

Hell,VarmintGuy you could answer this too. Of the rifles which two do you like best?

That's a tough question to answer.I like them all and for different reasons. One prerequisite is accuracy. If a gun isn't accurate,it holds no appeal to me.

The Anschutz displays German precision. The Coopers incorporate accuracy with Classic styling. The Winchester 52's and 75 are timeless designs, that for decades set the standard for accuracy as well as American Classic design. The Sako is unique in that it is a switch barrel. The NULA is hand made and assembled by a true crafstman Melvin Forbes, who takes pride in his work.

So if I had to choose just two,I couldn't do it!

Damn guy's, I only have two right now a Sako Quad synthetic and a Browning Buck Mk stainless. I feel rimfire challenged. crazy..................547.
Farming: Love to.
Its a tough one but of all my rimfire Rifles and pistols my two favorites would have to be - #1 My Ruger 77/17 V/T in 17 HMR and #2 My Remington 40X in 22 L.R.?
I REALLY enjoy all of my rimfires and that was a HARD task singling out just TWO!

Down to four, currently. That may change as soon as tomorrow, dunno for sure.

Remington M24 gallery gun (.22 short only)
Marlin 60 (first gun I could call my own)
10/22 DSP
Marlin 17V .17 HMR

Had a couple of 77/22s, an old High Standard pumpgun, a raft of other 10/22s, a S&W 18, and a 622, Ruger Single Six, a crapload of Mk II Ruger autopistols, a whole bunch over the years.
Kinda looking at a Marlin .22 Magnum right now, will probably buy one tomorrow.

Rimfires come and rimfires go, some hang around.
I got one myself!

Favorites?
Prolly a LH CZ 452 American and the 60 year old Marlin 39A, Bearcat if I am fishin. Gezzz maybe the Remington 512 made the month year I was born or the Rem 33 dad gave me. Not much cooler than a old Winchester pump or handier than a Savage 24 in 22/410, and so forth. How does a guy just pick two?
I don't have enough fingers or toes.

You've got me beat by a few (not many though laugh ), but I'm in sell down mode right now and just unloaded a few.

A few more are slated to go, including a Win 94/22, a Kimber rifle, a slightly tweaked 10/22, a Ruger Mark 2 pistol, an Anschutz sporter....

When I'm "done", I plan on being down to about three or four that I actually use.
Just the one Anschutz 1913 Lefty. Absolutely heart-broken about the possibility of having to sell it...
Got me thinking about another topic for a thread... Any particular rifle/pistol/shotgun you sold that you really wish you hadn't? Maybe I'll try that tomorrow...

I'm home today, and it's too cold to play outside, so here's a photo of my meager collection of rimfires:

1. Remington 510 Targetmaster
2. Remington 511X Scoremaster
3. Ruger 10/22 (the wife's 22)
4. Marlin Model 25MB 22WMR
5. "Premier Single Shot" (gallery gun? I think the FFL transfer was more $ than the gun)
6. Excel 20Ga.... not rimfire, but one of my favorite going for a walk in the woods guns, and it lives in the same row of the safe as the .22's
7. Handgun = AMT automag II .22WMR

I've always wanted a few Savage & Winchester .22's, so there's room for more in the future, after I stop bleeding money for my kids college tuition.

Hey varmintguy.
The AMT (now defunct?not positive. Arcadia Machine and Tool) Automag II, 22WMR, is a fun handgun to shoot, basic 1911 type design, but mine is a bit finicky with ammo. It will stovepipe every once in a while with certain ammo after 20 or 30 rounds. I always attribute it to more powder fouling with rimfire powder? Not too concerned, as it's not a self defense weapon.
Do a search for "AMT automag" on Gunbroker or Auctionarms and you'll see they made several variations (the automag III was in 30carbine for example). I also have a .380 auto DAO from AMT. It's small, (not Seecamp small though) but has a DAO trigger like a caulking gun. Basically, there relatively inexpensive guns, but not potmetal crap.
Have a good weekend. -TomT

Mine is a 22LR. I like it alot shoots very well and has great wood.
I am not a big rimfire guy.

Ruger Single Six 6-1/2" Bl stainless
Ruger 10/22 mannlicher stock
CZ 452 FS mannlicher stock
Springfield Model 13 single shot bolt action
I have a marlin 39a (love this gun ..very accurate), and a ruger single six.

Huh. I counted 22 22's. 5 handguns and 17 rifles. I can't believe anybody would only have 1 10/22!

My favorite is the H&R M12 U.S. Gov't target rifle. VERY HEAVY. My favorite is my Remington M572 BDL that my Dad bought for me when I was a kid. And my favorite has to be the Mossberg semi-auto that was my Dad's gun that I've since inherited. But my favorite is the S&W M17 6" target gun. Nice shooter. I'd have to say my favorite is the Hi-Standard U.S. target pistol with paperwork that my Dad bought out of an NRA magazine when he was young. I inherited that one also and still have the shipping invoice. Pretty cool.

Only have three.
Anschutz 54 Sporter
Remington 541T
Kimber 82
marlin 39A lever carbine
marlin 881 bolt
marlin 25 bolt
stevens favorite falling block
savage mark II bolt
remington 514 bolt
ruger MK I pistol
-- 1948 Browning Trombone -- bought for my Dad by my Mom the year they got married.
-- Cooey Rabbit
-- Ruger 10/22 about 30 years old
-- CZ453 - new to me today
-- Reck S/A revolver

Plan on getting more, cause they are so much fun to shoot.
Has anyone had any experience with the Walther P22 produced, possibly the last couple of years? Seems there is a love and hate affair with this pistol?
honestly officer...

the 3 I did have, were stolen by some gun grabbing democrat 2 years ago!!!

honest!
I do not have all that many, but I really enjoy the ones I do have. The Marlin Model 39 Mountie is an all time favorite though.

One of these days we may have to link up when I come to Boise and get a cup of coffee or something. I try to avoid the place as it is too big for me these days, but it seems there is always somethng going on that requires me to make the trip.
Mackay I like the pics of the dead jack rabbits. I wish I had them here to shoot. I try and kill a few everytime I make it out west.
