Is this thing legal in the US? It is not an add on to the end of the barrel but inherent within the barrel itself.

Yeah, they're legal. I have a pard with one on a Ruger Mk II. That little sucker is fun...

There several folks making integrals. I've seen several Browning .22 Autos with integrals (Ciener?) that I thought were pretty cool . Also, AWC offered a MkII Ruger that had a integral. Amphibian I think it's called. The actions are about the loudest noise.

They're legal here in SC, along with full auto firearms. Just pay the transfer fee and wait the 90 days.

The local LEO agency has at least one suppressed 10/22 (for shooting out streel lights, I'm told).
