In my quest for a .22 LR bolt action I stumbled across a Savage Anschutz with Vari-X III 4.5-14X40 AO today for $750. Good deal or not? I would rate the wood and metal at 90% or better.

Go for it. The scope would sell for $350-400 on its own so you're getting the rifle for just a bit more than a new CZ452.

I had one of those and it was very accurate. In good shape it'll go for about $500 without the scope. I'd snag it.

oh yes you get that for 750 i will give you half and take the gun or scope either one

I got it the scope will go on a different rifle, and I'll shoot the rifle with irons for awhile.
