Is lead .22 rimfire ammo still legal to shoot over there?
My uncle needs some and all I can find to send him is lead round nose.
Yes, it's legal to SHOOT; you just can't HUNT with it. And the non-lead ammo I've tried isn't very accurate; surely not "minute of ground squirrel" at the ranges I'm used to shooting them with a .22 WRM. The .22 LR is worse.
Ok I guess I'll send him a brick of cci.
It's still legal to hunt with too. The lead ban could stretch out until 2019 before going into effect
The "State Wide Lead Ban" does not include rimfire ammunition to the best of my knowledge.
I believe the "Condor Zone" Lead Ban does include it though.

The current lead ban in the condor zone which I do not hunt in so I could be off some I believe you can hunt things like rabbits with lead ammo since they are collected whole vs larger game that is field dressed
The law bans lead for hunting, effective in 2019. Read it for yourself & ignore the internet hype. Lead ammo can still be used for legal purposes, such as target shooting, after 2019.
AB-711 Hunting: nonlead ammunition.
WTF!! Using the actual text of the law to validate your argument? I call foul!
