I'd like to hear about its accuracy, range, effectiveness on varmints (not predators), which rifles you prefer, why you like the rifle you do, what scope you chose for your rifle, why that scope, etc. etc.
Think 17 HRM with 50/60 yards shorter range. The 17 HRM is so good that I can't find myself buying a 17 HM2 and I buy darned near everything with rifled barrel.

I haven't gotten around to the M2 yet, but did grab a Win 9417 (17 HMR), liked it so much I ended up with 2 (accidently). So if anyone is interested I have a spare 9417 NIB I could easily be persuaded to trade or sell. I like the handling qualities without a scope, so haven't tried to scope it, and my eyes still seem to work OK for bunnies out to about 50 yds., haven't tried it on anything larger.
I have a CZ 452 with Nikon Buckmaster 3x9 and it shoots well and ammo is readily available and no more expensive than good quality match .22 ammo. I chose the scope for its price and quality. I plan to use it for squirrels. I tried a .17 HMR and it made too big a mess.

I have the Savage MARK II-FV with BSA Sweet 17 scope, this is a deadly combo out to 75 yards and probably further with a better shooter at the controls. Love it and my 17HMR guns.
