Why would anybody have them, and not shoot them?

I have 3 Remington mod 37s, a 40X custom in work, and a beautiful original 1922 M2. They all shoot very well.

I do have a nice custom 10/22 that shoots very well, but haven't shot it in 10 yrs. or so.

I never saw the need to be proud of owning a gun. I have many that I like and enjoy shooting. The ones that don't make that list get sent down the road. To me they are all just tools.

I'm not prouder of one than the other but the ones I like to shoot the mostest are the customized 10-22 and the old model 75 Winchester.

I like the contrast of a really old bolt action that shoots just as good if not better than something modern.

Anschutz 54 repeater... don't care about the "proud" part, just the shooting.

I am with 4th point my 1407R is a dream. Might need to own two.

I currently only have 2 rimfires - a S&W 617 10 shot w/ 6" BBL, nice gun and fun to shoot. and a Ruger 77/22 Boat Paddle - it works but is far from a good looking rifle in my book. I do have my eye on a Sako Finfire II in .17HMR - that one has it all (along with a big price tag).

Browning SA 22. A true classic and one of John Browning designs. Fit, finish and materials top notch. Very accurate compare to some others.

Nice gun. I have the Norinco ATD-22 knock-off and like it very much.

Tell ya what, though, I sure enjoy shooting my average-joe Henry .22 lever. That little thing always seems to end up going with me when I go shooting...range or field.

Don't own any but like to shoot anything put in front of me. Rimfire pistols and rifles are fun, fun, fun. Affordable platforms, affordable ammo. The joy of shooting.

A Remington 541-S that I bought new in the late '70s that I use for small game hunting and any of a half dozen 40x's/40-XB's.

Handguns? A Smith 41, a Smith 34 and a 5" SS Smith J-frame (63?).

I like em all. Especially enjoy shooting two, a 94/22 Classic just because lever actions are so much fun and a Rem.504 for the simple fact that it took so much work to get it shooting as good as it does. It's not near the most accurate that I own but it will very often put 5 under 1/2" at 50 yards. The stock is scratched and marred from frustration and anger that it wouldn't shoot. It's been bedded at least a half dozen times. Different ways trying to make it shoot decently. It is butt ugly and I have a prettier new stock setting here waiting on it but I'm scared that when I change it the accuracy problems will start all over.

The only two I would say that I'm proud to own are the 504 for the same reasons stated above and a Ruger Single-Six. The Ruger just because so many people comment about how good it looks after I refinished it.

Of the bunch of .22LR rimfires in the gun safe, this one spends the least time in it. Winchester M69 made between 1935-1938. Came to me well used more than a decade ago, cock on closing bolt slickery by that use. Accuracy is only limited by my eyes lining up the iron sights with the target. However, it's most remarkable feature is; it is a WABAC machine when taken into the woods.

This 1934 vintage Remington M34P.

Don't know about proud, but happy to own and shoot a 1971 Browning Challenger pistol. Also love a 1948 Browning slide action rifle that Dad willed to me. Most recently, though, my favorite is a CZ 453 American. Pretty little rifle that shoots tiny little groups. Of course, I have the obligatory Roger 10-22. Tough as nails, accurate, and fun. It is my wife's favorite.

That pretty well expresses my thoughts. I don't identify with "stuff", and make it a point never to wear logo clothing (free advertising).

I enjoy shooting my .22s, especially my customized Winchester/Miroku 1885 low wall. Just shot this group yesterday. 16X Unertl scope, Eley Team ammo. 1.4" (inches, not MOA) at 200 yards.

Most glad to own, savage model 24 .22LR/20GA. Most fun to shoot remington 597.

My two favorites to shoot are my 39A and CZ.. The CZ is the most accurate rifle I own.. My 513T can match it, but the CZ is much easier to handle in the field..

A Savage MKII rifle and a S&W 48-4 with both cylinders are my favorites.
The others I have are fun but these two will stay with me for a while yet.

Have a cz 453 (mannlicher), pretty wood, that's a neat rifle though I don't shoot it so well due to eyesight. Needing to build up the f. sight so can try a peep on it.

But favorite to shoot? Marlin 1892 is a grinner.

Worst rimfire ever owned was a Nobel pump action, not sure what model, that I owned a bit over 30 years ago. I pawned it on my way out of Manhattan, KS, in early October, 1984, and never went back to get it. One of the few times that I got the better end of a deal with a pawn broker.

Winchester M61 and M63 are a pleasure...

That is one beautiful rifle.

I guess most proud and like to shoot would be my Winchester M94/17hmr and Remington 552 Speedmaster. Also have a conversion kit for my Kimber pistol and a Winchester M36 9mm shotgun that I haven't shot in almost 50 years.

Don't know if proud is the right word but I have several I like and enjoy shooting. Two of my favorites are a Cooper LVT and a Volquartsen Custom, both rifles are extremely accurate.

This one is a lot like shrapnel's 1873 only it has different coloring and is chambered in 22LR. Also, this one does not have one of those lever things on the bottom. Another small difference is nobody has written any articles about it. Which is surprising to me.

Man the animals you have out west are well armed.....apparently this is standard issue equipment (with the GFY sticker) for these type of vermin? glad to see they were taken out before they could hurt anyone with those rifles - did Shrapnel do that with his 1873

Amazingly enough .... me too.

Was shooting my 10/22 this a.m... It is not as awesome as Deflaves, but it has a medium heavy barrel, no sights, and a nicely checkered wood stock.. I have had it a couple years.. Shot it a bit, but mostly bought it because I had never owned a 10/22.. This morning I snapped off 5 rds. of Rem hp ammo from a rest of the hood of the truck. I was amazed at the group.. one round was slightly out, but four could have been covered with a dime..I must shoot this rifle more!!

Hot off the press any not even 48hrs old yet,but this SUB(Super UBER Bitchin') Gun is a fhuqking PEACH.

Flogged on 'er purty hard yesterday and break-in is progressing nicely.





Due the typical 77 receiver anti-inclination bane,I'm a touch Hungchow after the 6x MQ Fixed fhuqker to 10x MQ Fixed fhuqker glass swap and retain only 16.5 Mils on the erector. Sadly,that only grants opportunity to the 750yd line with 17V-Max,which do suck ass.

The 18" Clark machined S/S LW blank of .720" is a nice fit in Kelly's .920" inlet and she could give a fhuqk less about bipods or any other MPAJ influence,in regards to POA/POI intersections.

Inlet were trite,fore to aft and a modest relief enabled tightitude,for gross betterment.



There's no flies on the RB trigger,though firing pin strikes were light,even after the Wolff 23-pounder upgrade. 'Twere a touch disconcerting yesterday at daybreak,while trying to gun an initial zero and hoping to accrue come-ups. Long story short,she had a bad Bitch Hole,which made springtitude largely moot.

Did the never ending improvise/adapt thing,to get the ball rolling and were it not for a RITR,yesterday woulda sucked.

I have 2 Anschutz 54 sporters and a CZ 17hmr. All shoot "lights out" with their favorite ammo. I am curious about a Kidd 1022 clone and a 9422m Winchester. Really want a mint 52c sporter but will likely never happen.

A model 25 was my first rifle. I'd hate to guess haw many thousands of rounds went through it before it started spraying my face with gas everytime you pulled the trigger. Every shot with it was fun up till then. I remember mom getting upset till she finally came to her senses and realized a brick of ammo wasn't meant to last some kids a full day.

I have several thousand rounds through a couple different Mdl 60's and every one of them rounds was fun too. Funny how that works. Only Mdl 60 I have now is a pawn shop reject I bought as a project gun a couple years ago. I need to get around to projecting on it and I bet it'll be fun too.
