I recently was offered a Remington 513t target master that was made in August of 1945. It does not appear military marked and has some pitting on barrel. The bore is bright and looks good. I'd call the wood 80% and metal about same. It also has an unertl 6x 3/4" target on it that I'll call 85-90%. He's asking $525 and I think this is fair or may be a great deal as its a classic and I'm going to give to my 12 year old to squirrel hunt with. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thx
The scope alone is worth $600-$900 on ebay alone. Sounds like a deal. They are usually very good shooters.
I have one that is an excellent shooter.. If you want to sell that scope, let me know..
I doubt that particular Unertl scope model is woth more than $400..
Havng said that, so is the rifle itself..

At $525 ,it sounds like a good deal:)
Thx for all the advice and info. I think I'll grab it for my son. Many thanks again

Sold listings on ebay show otherwise regarding the scope. I've been watching for a while and if in decent condition the minimum is $450 with the higher power ones topping out at $1k. the 6 and 8 power are very popular for replica sniper rifles and bring a premium. Just the mounts by themselves sell for upwards of $400. Right, wrong,or indifferent it is what it is.
