Holsters for the new-ish S&W Victory .22 are few and far between, especially for ones equipped with an optic. One outfit is selling the same Black Dog (I think) holster they sell for the Rugers, but I saw some negative comments about fit. I bought a generic nylon one that sorta fits without the optic.

Yesterday, I looked again with no luck, then remembered that I had tried a Fobus paddle for a Beretta 92 when I first got the gun, and that it could be wedged in after a fashion. Having no Beretta at present, I got out some tinsnips and a pocket knife and started whittling. I lost the first rivet during the operation, but had some Gorilla tape handy. Kept cutting until the trigger guard snapped into place just like it was supposed to. Kinda oogly, but it works and seems solid. Will probably eventually replace the tape with a little machine screw and maybe a star washer. I also might get another holster and do a neater job on it. They're only $22.

Its a Fobus BR-2, if anyone's interested in doing one up, the model for the Beretta 92.

I have looked for one also without much luck. Mine is equipped with a Burris FF3 and holsters are pretty limited, thanks for the tip I might try my own version of your idea for 25$

I just ordered an Uncle Mikes 14 and black nylon ribbon to modify a holster for my ruger mk III with full size old school scope. Not a dot. we will see how that works out. It is short money to try this and no worry about hard plastic abuse on the pistol finish. The dot sight (why are those called optics?) red dot, should be a lot easier to carry in an Uncle Mikes with this simple mod. Simple is easy to say, I am waiting on the parts.

The plastic cuts pretty easy once you break the reinforced edge area and has some "spring" to it which helps it grip the pistol. I was in a bit of a lather and did it freehand, without marking or measuring; just cut and try. The edges of the cut slide under the rail.

That Sparc2 is kind of bulky and heavy, but has a very sharp 2moa dot, positive clicks, and auto shutoff. It replaced a gen1 FF which only had auto-brightness and got confused a lot outdoors under varying light conditions. I'll probably replace it with a FF3 once I stop buying other stuff.
