Finally finding 22 mag Federal 50 jacketed hollow points available, been looking for them for a long time. Due to the rimfire shortage they were pretty much unavailable for quite a while.

I like the 50 grain JHP's, they are a little slower, but hit real hard.

Found them at LAX Ammunition, and at a good price, ordered a brick. First time dealing with them, quite satisfied, never seen a box packed so securely, heavy duty box too.

Lax ammo 50 grain JHP
Those started showing up around here about 4-5 months ago. I haven't tried them in any of my current rifles.
My 22 Mag is a 16 twist, so I haven't tried them. If I was to get a rifle with 1:14, then I'd get some. But I just bought 300 rounds, CCI and Winchester, for less than $60 out the door and I didn't have to order it.
I use them in my Savage 24's, they have a 1:14 twist and stabilize them fine, and I'm 20 feet above sea level. I have a Marlin 25MN that is a 1:16 twist, never tried them in it, probably should just to see if they will stabilize.
I wonder if the Dynapoints will be around soon. I've never used them, and it may like the 14 twist better too being 45 grain and lower velocity. But they used to be pretty inexpensive. Also, plated like a 22LR, not jacketed.
Cheap compared to the LGS. Wonder how a Magnum Research would digest them?
My Savage shoots them better than any other ammo I have tried in it.
I used to use them in a Marlin 882 that I had. They always stabilized just fine, and were good for shots to 125 yards on woodchucks.
