Gemby could you share your dealer?

turkish;
Top of the morning to you sir, I hope all is well in your world on this first Friday of the last month of 2019.

While I'm cognizant you've asked about US dealers, I'll just throw out that recently I was able to find what must have been one of a very few which made it north of the medicine line.

As the scope just arrived for it last week and I'm still working weekdays and then doing father/husband stuff on weekends, it's not been shot yet.

The one I received is very well machined and put together, resulting in very smooth operation - again have not shot it.

My eldest daughter has approved my name for it - the moose calf - as it's so ugly it's kinda cute - but hopefully it'll shoot as well as some of the ones that I read reports on previous to purchase.

Once I get it sighted and shoot some different brands of ammo through it, I'll try to cobble a bit of a range report of sorts up.

Good luck with yours whichever way you decide and all the best to you and yours this Christmas.

euro has the $468.00 + tax, shydas $462.00 out the door

From my email with Shyda:

I took a look into that and called our Tikka rep because I was not seeing anything for it. That model is only in Finland it has not been imported to the USA yet. He said there has been request for them and they plan on importing them eventually but as of right now there is no ETA on when that will happen. So unfortunately we can not get you one.

That’s the word all over. Not here now and maybe not for a while. Or knowing Tikka they will show up next week.

Tikka T1X 16" Range Day;
As life sometimes goes, this is the first time I've managed to get the T1X 16" out to the range.

Conditions were not fantastic for shooting, with gusting winds and variable light. However it was a relatively balmy 9° C and the rain had stopped so off I went.

Here it is with the Bushnell 4-16X AO

Here's the target and respective ammunition fired at each dot.

The dots are 1/2" and all groups are 10 shots.

It's interesting that except for a flyer with each group that the Punta Hueca Argentine stuff matched the old Federal Gold Medal. Via one of my nephews, I picked up 4 bricks of the Punta Hueca years back. It is marked "Fabricados en EE.UU and has the familiar Super X head stamp. It's a 40gr HP standard velocity which has been so consistent that it's my go to "chronograph testing" ammunition.

At any rate, for a windy day the little arm shows promise.

The only higher end match ammunition shot was the Federal Gold Medal, the rest was the first stuff that came out of the shelves in the safe.

For whatever reason I completely forgot CCI Blazers which have been very accurate in a lot of our .22's and I intend to test some both at 25 and 50 yards - hopefully on a calmer day.

Thanks for looking and all the best to you all as we head into longer days and warmer weather.

just got my 16" Tikka T1X

Yep, it shoots like both T1X's I have owned, they are amazing for the price. The Federal GM group is really nice.

Just ordered a T1X 22lr and was curious if the T1X and T3X mounts are interchangeable? Going to order a set of Talley’s and want to make sure.

They are not - the dovetails are different sized.

Motown;
Good morning to you sir, I hope that the day finds you warm, well and dry.

For now on the T1X that I've been playing with, I'm running standard cheap - Tasco/Bushnell??? - blister packed aluminum medium height 3/8" dovetail rings. It's the standard rimfire dovetail anyway.

If one wants to do a rail with some built in elevation of course that wouldn't be the way to go, but as I'm not typically going to be shooting much beyond 100yds and mostly at half that, the standard rings were my starting point.

Hopefully that was useful for you or someone out there this morning. Good luck with your new rimfire project whichever way you go.

Any hints on US dealers that have them?

Bump. I think I missed out on a US shipment. I see there are some online dealers that show out of stock. Anyone know of any 16”ers in stock??

Talley T1x are narower than Talley T3x mounts T3x Talleys will work on both just wider. Tried them both on my T1x.

They’re here, I have one and it’s a shooter! Mounted a Burris FF 4.5-14 and put it in a Boyd’s AT-one. Shoots about .4” at 50 yards for 10 shots with preferred ammo. Thinking of getting a can.

y'all are speaking of right handed bolt actions, right? i'm still interested in a left-handed one.

Gus, I spoke with EuroOptic last week regarding a LH 22LR. I was told they are not here yet but will arrive, likely some time in March. I ordered a 17 HMR and will pick it up tomorrow.

As always, Dwayne, that's an interesting take on things. I fully concur with your name for the new rifle, Moose Calf, so ugly it's kinda cute. I have some CZ's that are the same way, happily enough, they shoot quite well. As luck would have it, they are also 16.25" barrelled guns. The short, stiff barrels are pretty handy, and shoot pretty well, too. Have a fine season!
