Neighbor is selling his 2017 Polaris 570 SXS with 102 hours on it. Going thru a divorce and selling all his toys.
What is the good and the bad about this machine?
Thanks
The Ranger or the RZR? My BIL has a Ranger. I have 2 friends with RZR's. All love them. My wife didn't like the Ranger because of the lack of handholds. We got a used 800 RZR and have had a blast with it. There have been some fires with RZR's but I'm pretty sure those were in the 1000 or maybe the 900. It wasn't the 570 anyway. Is this the 50"? Those are good because you can use atv trails that are restricted to 50" although they're a tighter fit. They'll also fit in the back of a long bed pickup which a 60" won't
My BIL uses his Ranger almost daily. They have a large acreage on the side of a very steep hill. He's been building stuff at the bottom and the house is at the top. He runs up and down it constantly. In the 3 or 4 years he's had it, it's been flawless.
I don' t like razors due to small cargo area. More of a toy. The rangers have a cheap single cylinder model. I know someone who doesn't care for the vibration from it. 570 may be it.
But google is the way to go, tons of forums.
I don't use my 4 wheeler much anymore, prefering sxs.
One of my cousin picked a 570 Ranger up a few years ago. He likes it, no issues, uses it fairly often. We have several camps spread out about 4 miles along a lake/stream system, plus another hunting camp in a different area - he used it for running between the camps and whatever projects come along - gravel, firewood, his grandkids, whatever.
We have a 2015 ranger 570 and that thing wheels pretty damn good for in Alaska! So issues for us
We had a 2004 Ranger, 500cc which was the precursor engine to the 570. Used it constantly on the ranch. Had it for 13 trouble free years. Finally traded this year for a 1000 cc but the power of the 500 was nearly always adequate, even with 2 guys in there and a bunch of stuff in the bed. Good machines, if you don't over abuse them.
Some guys hate Polaris but I have yet to see anything to back up their complaints. I guess that some people will hate any make they don't have.
We have a 2013 500 crew and love it , works hard and rides smooth !!!

Thanks for the feedback, gents.
I have the 2015 polaris 570 ranger. Went with the ranger due to the bench seat and bigger cargo bed.
Not a hot rod machine but gets around real well. Have had some heavy loads of fire wood and it still rides nice.
1400 miles on it so far with only one flat tire.
Works great to put grand kids to sleep in.
The only drawback I see with the 570 ranger is the old style round tube cage. This limits accessory options if you plan on buying factory Ad ons such as glass and roofs. Might to not be a big deal, but worth noting. I had a 500 ranger for several years and never found a task it couldn't handle. Got rid of it and bought a new general. Wish I had kept the ranger.
