Hello is the 570 model worth the extra $ 500

How much rebates do Polaris offer when the 2020 models come out?

Is the 2018 any different than the 2019?

Thanks!
Is the 570 the same engine they're using in the RZR & Ranger? I know a number of people who have those and their engines have been very good.
No one has ever complained about going bigger but I've heard a lot of complaints about going smaller.
The 570 utility also has an engine brake, 10 or 11 more horsepower any one have expierence with the engine brake.
Does the Sportsman have the same CVT type transmission as the RZR? If so, it will have engine braking down to about 4 or 5 mph then it will drop out of gear. Engine braking will keep it in gear to a much lower speed. It can be added aftermarket on the RZR's. The newer 50" 900's already have it. It's worth getting if it's the same thing.
We have a 2009 Sportsman 400 that the wife rides and aside from the battery being nearly impossible to change due to its location and all the plastic racks on the thing, it has been an okay machine. They put that 570 in the UTV models too and it is enough for a buddy with one. It depends on where you ride and how fast you want to go. Must guys up north have the 500's just for the slow going on the trails between the trees. I do like our older Kawasaki better because it has steel racks and high and low range. It depends on your dealer proximity, but in your place buying new, I'd sure be looking at the Yamaha Kodiak 450 or the larger Grizzly with the EPS option. Back in my youth I got into the fast dirt bikes and looking back at it now, we had more fun with the smaller engines. My Husqvarna was just too white knuckle fast and I suspect that the new mega motor ATV's are getting that same way.

I'd go to their website and check specs between the 450 and 570, look a tire size, ground clearance, and weight. If you don't need the 570 and the only difference is cost and weight save yourself a few bucks. If you lose ground clearance with the 450 decide if that's important.

One of my atvs is an older 2009 Sportsman SP 550 EPS. The power steering is spooky good and will spoil you. Also have a 2003 Sportsman 400, and have never needed more power than the 400 has for the way I use them (including skidding logs out of brush for firewood). Reason I bought the 550 EPS was for my father as he was getting older and needed an easier handling machine. Would have bought one with a 400 or 450 then, but the 550 was the smallest that had power steering in 2009.
I decided on the used 450!

The biggest items were price, and needing to spray weeds gravity irrigate. The wife will use it. And I guess the don't overheat much!
The rebates were already $600 dollars and they doubted they would be much more then $150 more.

And the power steering works inverse of other brands due to it being a brushless motor. Really help with weed spraying irrigation ditches!

I also needed smaller size as it may go into a small toyhauler that is tighter than most bikes.

Thanks for your advice.
absolutely.
I test drove the 570 today. I much preferred the 450 with power steering. The powerband in the 570 seemed awkward and lurched. But they wouldn't let me drive a 570?with power steering. Very odd store indeed. I won't be back!

Would they have.let you BUY a 570 ??? 🤔

Sounds like a VERY odd store !!!
Yeah they would sell me one. Just couldn't test drive one with power steering.

Very, very odd. I wouldn't buy stock in Polaris corporation.............weird sales training.

Even though I took their computer quad model quiz and said I wanted power steering.......they suggested I buy a 450 utility model.

Which does not offer power steering as an option?

Weird
I won't have another without EPS.

Running a King Quad 450 now without it. Doesn't take too many miles of rough trail to start wearing ya out....... I ain't 20 anymore. 🙄

I'm with you 100%

I have one with and one without. My wife was giving me crap when I bought one with it. Now she always wants to drive that one. laugh
I have a Polaris ETX without power steering. The power is fine but at slow speed when spraying weeks with one hand and running the throttle with the other it is tough to turn. My next one will has EPS I think.
