My wife and I adopted a mare that was part of group of horses that were taken away from the owner due to neglect. We didn't know at the time she was pregnant but she responded to our care and gave us a healthy foal.

Today, the Vet checked them out and declared they are both doing fine.

Excellent. You didn't get them from MN by chance did you? I saw a story on the news the other day about some neglected horses that were taken from a "farm" here this summer and they were reported doing well.
