My nicest one is a Nosler Liberty that is in its 5th month at Nosler getting repaired. Once my second nicest came back from Christensen Arms repair center, it worked great. My third nicest, a Remington 5R 223, has also done well since I got it back from the Remington repair department. My cheap little Savage LWH has been extraordinary since day one, but it's not nice.

Gawd. Photos like these are why I didn't post anything... I'd set the bar way too low. (And yes, I knew this thread would generate some ribbing to start and yes it was worth seeing a fortune in walnut and blued steel.)

I have a Husqvarna 640 in 9.3x62 currently at the smith being custom pillared, fully bedded (was pillaring anyway might as well... he'll do a better job than me), cross pinned (brass), scope taps enlarged to 8-40 and re-centered, and barrel re-crowned. Once that's done, I'll spend a month oil finishing the stock and it'll be my nicest rifle by far. My second place is a M70 FWT in 280 Rem and third is a Zastava M70 in 8x57JS that I completely refinished, sold to a buddy at cost, hated myself for selling it, and traded back. Working on photos.

It was very difficult to close the bolt on factory ammo and it was keyholing at 50 yards. At this point I wouldn't recommend anyone buy one of their rifles.

#3 is a Dumoulin action 7x57. The gunsmith did all the work except for checkering. He also made the .404 Jeffery.

No full-bore customs in my safe, but some decent stuff nonetheless. I guess my nicest rifles would be my M70 Super Grade in .280, my Miroku repro Winchester 52, and a custom Model Seven in 6mm Remington.

My 52 has some of the nicest wood I've seen on one of these, if I say so myself. It wears a Weaver Grand Slam 4-16x these days. Nice scope.

[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

My Super Grade in .280 is now living in a B&C Medalist, but the original stock is still around. It's nothing too special, but okay for a factory rifle and has pretty nice wood. It too no longer wears a Leupold, but a Sightron SII 3-9x42mm.

[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

This little Model Seven in 6mm Remington came to me in a B&C Medalist stock, so it's not all that glamorous...but I really like the rifle. It has a Krieger barrel and has a Sako-style extractor. It's a little more difficult to shoot a good group with it due to its light weight, but when I'm good it is good too. I mounted a Sightron SII Big Sky 3.5-10x50mm on it which I like very much.

Very nice gentleman.
My top for beauty is a Husqvarna imperial grade 7mm mag. I bought it out of a closing gun shop in 76. It has resided in my gun room since, never been used or fired. Just cleaned twice a year.
When I get the picture thing figured out here I will post it.

Three "nicest" for what? Target shooting on a warm, dry day? Hunting in the rain or snow? Busting through brush or hunting the barren plains? Hunting from a stand or carrying for miles at a time up mountains and down? Prettiest or most functional?

Sold my prettiest rifle, a Ruger #1 in 280 Rem, because it was too pretty for my needs - a fair weather rifle and not one I wanted to get knocked around hunting elk. For "nicest", I go with "most functional". That would be a close race but a synthetic-stocked rifle that shoots great would be my choice.

My Ruger All Weather (stainless/synthetic) Hawkeye in 280 Rem would be the runner up. It can bang the 6" steel at 600 yards with ease, is relatively light weight and easy on the shoulder. It will easily put down anything I want to shoot, from varmints to elk.

The winner, though, would be my stainless Ruger MKII 30-06. It came in a laminate stock that I replaced with a Ruger "boat paddle". Like its siblings, a 300WM and 338WM, I've used it to shoot clay pigeons on the 600 yard berm. It is the one in the middle of the photo below. The 300WM is on the left, the 338WM on the right.

This Kimber 89 deluxe in 338 Winchester Mag is new in the box and is the only gun that I haven't taken out. It is of the Clackamas period.
[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]

I have shot two mountain goats and a dall sheep with this Cooper Model 52 in 30/06. It is very accurate. I haven't babied it and it has gone through a lot of rough country.

I have never bloodied my Model 70 JOC Tribute in 270 Win but I have taken it hunting on Barnard glacier on a hell of a rough hunt. It is a nice and accurate rifle.[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]

The rifle on the left is a FN Baco 2008 Deluxe 30/06 that I have also hunted. It has nice wood.
[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]

These are my two Steyr MS rifles. Both are in 30/06. One is a 1950 improved model that is a stutzen carbine. The other is a 1952 improved Deluxe with factory engraving. Both are pretty nice.

I would be remiss if I didn't include my Jay Frazier 6.5x55 Mexican Mauser that has some nice English Walnut on it. My wife made the 550 paracord sling during an emergency.

I also have some CZs that have nice wood. I have an original Brno 21h but I don't know if it makes the cut here. I think people want eye candy even if that rifle is very nice. I have many, many other rifles but the CZs have some nice wood.

This Kimber 89 deluxe in 338 Winchester Mag is new in the box and is the only gun that I haven't taken out. It is of the Clackamas period.

452 varmit 22lr. I flipped this image it isn't a lefty.

Some nice pieces in here. I fall into the utilitarian category. If I can’t drag it through the mud, I have no use for it. No safe queens here.
