what does an unloaded, un scoped win 70 classic featherweight weigh? with rings and bases...

Dave
Depends on the density of the wood. Most weigh around 7-7 1/4 pounds.

Winchester Model 70 Classic Featherweight with Talley rings and bases with a Leupold 1.75-6X scope weights 8 pounds 5.3 ounces. The scope weighs 12 ounces so the rifle would weigh pretty close to 7.5 pounds including rings.

A 7-08 that I have weighs 6#14 oz, no rings or bases.
Depends on whether a standard caliblre or a magnum. Standards that i have weigh 6lbs 8oz and 6 lbs 10oz. a magnum weighs 7lbs 4oz. All without rings. Also as mentioned wood desity or moisture content plays a part.
I just weighed 4 of them NIB, all with the same dense, dark wood. Short actions were 7lb 1oz, long actions were 7lb 4 oz
Had two of them, both long action standard calibers. They both were right around 6lb 8oz. Both pieces of wood had some nice figuring and were not very dark coloured.
