Anyone noticed this?

Just hadn’t seen much on it.

Looks like an attempt on improvement of the 527 and 550, with some nice features and some extraneous? models.

I'm a CZ fan but this looks pretty cheesy. Like they wanted to go full-on sniper/tacticool but couldn't quite being themselves to do it. If they really want an improvement over the 557, go back to the 550.

exactly. Guess they don't make anything like a Mauser now

For sure….however, the CRF with short bolt throw and better mag setups on the 223/7.62x39 do address some of the ‘perceived’ Mauser-style and 527 gripes. I actually like that I could put a can on the open sighted model, without it having to look like the trail model. No idea about the design, otherwise.

My thoughts exactly.I have three 550's and they are great rifles, lots of heavy steel and wood.14.6" LOP? That's rather long.I noticed their 308's have a 1-10" twist.Mine have 1-12".All in all not too impressed, rather have my 550's anyday.I also noticed an aluminum receiver on one of the models.I know their are different grades of aluminum but I feel much better knowing my action is steel.

I’d prefer the 527 or 550 over the new 600, from what I can tell.

All the European rifles seem to have 14"+ LOPs. The Mauser M12s some of us snagged on clearance weresuper long.

A tease would imply that something good is to come.

CZ continues to go downhill.

Trying to compete with the sig cross

Four models, and apparently no attractive stocks.

I can shoot a hogsback, but I have to close my eyes while I put it up to my shoulder.

There's no future in building rifles for 50-80 year olds. CZ is a European company. With no reasonable assurance of loosening of EU gun rules and the push for common rules they had to offer switch barrel rifles. Hopefully they will offer custom barrels(chamberings) or Lothar Walther will do so.

Future in 80 year olds, no. 50? Well, based on who seems to have any money (I.e., employed, not living in mom's basement, disposable income for guns) and who spends on non-AR platforms, for the next 10-15 years the buyers who are 50 right now are *exactly* who you want to court. It's not like CZ keeps models going for 25-30 years. In 5-6 they'll be announcing the app's replacement and people with money to spend on rifles will be offering the same complaints (as they slip further away from the 550).

Guess I’m too old as well at 41. Nothing in that lineup peaks my interest.

Guess we need to be glad for the options out there that do or have appealed to us & functioned quite well. If CZ has a new generation to court, Ill just sit back & content with the older options & we will observe if the new choices are able to generate sales with any generation. If they took a page out of Legacy firearms & sold just the barreled actions or Perhaps leave the barrel out all together as the current chambering are doing very little for me thus far.

Young or old if you are looking for something different that the current offerings that CZ is looking to offer Perhaps we would do well th reach out and share what we are really looking for. Upcoming furniture offerings may work for some though do near nothing for me.

Was 6.5 Grendel a poor seller for CZ & if so then why? Would the 6.5 Grendel do much for todays customer or how about the 6mm ARC? Am I the only one that thinks the 6mm ARC does great in a controlled round feed mini action?

with the high priced ammo in todays current market, perhaps shooters that do not reload are satisfied with .223 & 7.62 x 39 in their mini action offerings.

I like the looks of some of those . Who would buy that black one in 223 (threaded barrel) that takes AR mags?
Posted By: ccd Re: CZ 600 tease - 01/10/22
This get towards shortactionsmoker's rifle post about not liking what is currently available in bolt actions in general. Walnut is hard to procure in industrial quantities for a decent price. Throw in future and current availability concerns regarding Turkish walnut, and synthetic is the best option. This is why almost every stock is synthetic now days. Even the mid level European offerings, such as Blaser, only get away with offering it because their rifle stocks are 2 pieces.

Remember that CZ basically made very few 500 and 527 for several years, as they were swamped with orders for military contracts. The 600 action was most likely designed to be very easy and cost effective to manufacture. The 98 is a 120+ year old design that is most assuredly not easy or cheap to make. European laws in a plurality of countries makes it more difficult to own a rifle for every occasion like we do here in the US. They are a European company, and I would assume Europe is their target market. The 600 is a switch barrel rifle because it has to be to sell in Europe. Someone can buy a 243 for roe, then upgrade to a 308 barrel for stag.

As to the 6.5 Grendel and 6 ARC, it is quite easy for CZ to offer barrels in those calibers as an aftermarket purchase to those who purchase a 7.62x39 rifle,223 or 224 Valkyrie. Of course, for the 223 and 224 you would have to get a new bolt head at the same time. Why they don't mention future product offerings in this direction is bizarre. Can only assume that they hired S&W/TC's marketing gurus. I am getting from their preintro marketing there are multiple action lengths in the 600 range. A micro 223, a 308 short and a 30-06 medium length. It would be nice if someone from CZ-USA would address this stuff

The LUX in a a 30-06 and a .223 Win gives me a 1/2 chub.

1:7 twist on the .223.

Me, too, but I'd have to have someone take an inch or so off the LOP.

I'm not the least bit interested in an 8.2 lb. .30-06 carbine.
