I have a chance to pick up a Carl Gustaf 3000 6.5x55. It’s has some good wood and is in decent shape. Just wondered about your thoughts on this one. I believe it’s the same as a Sauer 90 action.

I didn’t have the opportunity to put it on a scale but seemed a little heavy? Am I imagining the heft?

No these were heavy beasts, north of 8lbs on one I got as part of a collection o bought years ago.

Also they were made on Sauer 80, not 90 actions.

Unless a steal I dont see anything special about them.

Heavy beast is not a good attribute to me. It felt kinda hefty but without a scope was hard to tell.

I think I’ll pass on it. I already have a few clubs and I’m not keen on adding anymore to my collection.
