I have a Monte Carlo BDL stock from a Remington 243, as I replaced that stock with another because it had an aluminum bedding block. I was thinking about using the old stock for a 22-250 build, but when I look at the Remington website for available calibers in BDL, the only ones listed are 243, 270, 30.06 and 7 mag. Whereas if I look at the Remington offerings in 22-250, this caliber is only mentioned in their model 700 SPS and model 700 VTR. I am thinking that I should be able to drop a Remington 22-250 action with sporter barrel into this stock and be good to go. Or am I wrong?

What you're probably looking at are the NEW rifles that the NEW company that's now making the 700's are listing. I have seen a number of 22-250 BDL 700's, that were made before Remington went bellyup. The 22-250 and 243 are both short action cartridges, so your stock should work.

Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for the confirmation
