Team 1:
243 Win and 308 Win

Or

Team 2:
260 Rem and 7mm-08 Rem
Team one.

Team Won…
Team one only because of availability. I'm rather pleased with my 7mm-08, but the .308 that I made it from had a lot more available ammunition.
Team one for only one reason. There is enough gap between them to actually matter. There isn't enough difference between a .260 and 7-08 to matter much in the field. The choice seems redundant. Big difference between .243 and .308.. If team 2 was 22-250 Rem and 7mm-08 Rem I'd probably go that route.

Todd
team #1 = ammo can be found at any place easier for 308 or 243 , but i still would rather use my 7mm-08

My gun safe and pragmatic attitude say team 1

Want to like the 7-08 but ammo availability and the fact that no game animal on earth could tell me the difference puts me in the 308 camp.
Team 1 because I hunt chucks and have had a .243 of some sort since 8th grade.
It’s almost like two versus one.

In typical 🔥 style I’ll pick team 3 - team 280.

Team 2 if you had used 25-06 and 35 Whelen. Given your choices, Team 1.
I have a 7mm-08 & a 308. I had a 243 and sold it. Never had a 260 though I think it’s a good cartridge. I prefer the 6mm over the 243 and have a couple of them.

Not sure what you would be hunting. But if it were deer I’d prefer the bigger three. If shooting varmints I’d prefer the smaller three.

If you want deer and coyote rifles #1 just because as others have stated there’s a wider gap between the two.

But between the bigger three there’s not a lot of difference.

I only reload by the way. Rarely a factory load out of my rifles. But factory ammo sometimes is the best way to get brass.

Team Savage! 250 Sav and 300 Sav
None of the above. Poor mix. Cartridges too close in relation to one another.

Okay I'll say it, just get a 6.5CM and all those bases are covered. A one gun all-star team, Hornady.

It’s just a little better when vowels are added.

😬🦫
Winchester. I really dislike Remington.
Team three.

.243 and .260
Uhhmmm....?🤔
#1 covers bullets from 55gr. to 200+gr.
Not sure what you expect to hunt with that group of choices. Seems like they are all deer cartridges for the most part. For that I would take any one of the four offered and be happy although the 7-08 piques my interest just a bit more since I've never owned one.... wink

Team one. I have both. I have made .243 brass from 308 brass. I guess a guy could do that for the .260 and the 7-08 but I can go to the store and buy the .308 and .243.

Team 1 gets my vote

Team 2 but leave the .260 in the safe.

P
Niethier one I go with option 3-4
3 6.5 cm
4 280ai
I have a .243 and a .308. I don't have a .260 or 7mm-08. Nuff said.

When I think of hunts where two guns for different scenarios are an option-

303 Savage and 38-55
30-30 and .375 Winchester

But probably the most versatile combination known to exist, the 284 Winchester and 340 Weatherby. Go forth and murder small helpless animals.
Team one because I’m boring.
2
Got all of them, I win!!!
Team 7……mm-08

You can have the rest, we’ll not my Mod 70 CLASSIC stainless 243, but I digress.
# 1
I do not own a 7mm-08 but I’ll still choose Team 2, .260 was my go to gun when I hunted deer.

Winchester cartridges in Winchester rifles..

Preferably with Featherweight barrel and old style trigger.
IMNSHO, if you've got a rifle chambered to any of these cartridges you can confidently use it on about anything you want. And I have ammo loaded for the .243, the .260, and the .308 that I'd use anywhere in America on criiters from coyotes to elk.

Because I shoot more coyotes than deer, I gravitate to the .24, .25 .26 calibers to carry while hunting. Because I've had a lifelong fascination with the cartridge, I own more rifles in .308 than in all other cartridges combined. My first custom build was a .308.

The 7-08?
I love the concept. Owned one briefly when they came out in the Rem 788 (1980?). And I wanted a Model 70 classic compact in 7-08 til I tried one.
This cartridge just never showed up for me in the right rifle at the right time.

Still...
Give me one rifle (the right rifle) in any of these and I'll hunt til the end of my days.
Team 1 by far for me....good luck..Hb
Team Old Time Cool.

257 Roberts, 6.5x55 and 7x57.
Both! grin I dearly love the 243 and 7-08.

Team One ..... Same reasons.
Team 1 for the .308 and all the variety of utility it offers.
Team 1

Team1. I like the safety and action better
I prefer Winchester over Remington by quite a bit... but doesn't mean I don't own a batch of Remingtons along with other brands such as Howa and Savage.

I like the rifles I have... just for action, I prefer Winchester over the lot of them...

However I do like Savage's utility.
If I choose team 1, may I substitute my 6mm ARC bolt action for the .243 or do I need to go more like Team 3 with the 6mm arc & 6.5 Creedmoor?
