Presented below the sadly butchered... Err, amend that to "ultra rare" tool room specimen of the Steyr Model 1903 6.5x54, "Scout" variation. Presented by Baron von Mannlicher to Emperor Franz Josef on some "woah" sort of worthy occasion to be sure!
Actually one of my desicrated "rifle rescues" for relatively small money. All original and functional 'but for', the over enthusiastic stock circumcision. Usual suspect the iconic "Bubba" of these American shores! Maybe it not qualifying to "be all that it could be", but 'works for me'. Achieving ultra-lightweight.
Downside, Walmart temorarily out of ammo! Such the guy there informing me, but as admitting a bit uncomfortable as working in ladies underwear. Don't think he was even a Walmart employee and swooned when I mentioned Mannlicher!
Ok, enough humor. 'The Beast..."
Best!
