Always been a fan of the no. 1 and always enjoy seeing them. Thought maybe it would be fun to start a picture thread. I've only got 2 but I'll start with a pic of my Grandfather's 1V in 7mm magnum.

No fancy wood on this one, but it shoots.

[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

This is a 300 yard group. 4 shots in about 1/2" and that one pesky shot that opened it up.

[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Also have a #3 in 223 that I use from time to time for deer.

And a 338 WM that I don't have a picture of.

Really nice

I really like No. 1's and have a handful of them. They all have decent wood but not as nice as those shown here.

Looks like a heck of a shooter!

Is that a painted wood stock or a composite? Also, what chambering?
I’ll play…

Love #1’s!

Very cool. I didn't realize there was an option out there for the no 1. I have a stainless/laminate that might need some MPI love.

MPI stocks are nice, but they need work to fit and bed to the action. End product is great, but the process to get there is not for the feint of heart. Of course I had a lot of help from a fellow CF member that stepped in and provided guidance.

I also have a set (B style) made by Fiberpro, which I don’t think is in business anymore. This set has a nicer fit to start with. I am just deciding if I am going to use it on another project.

A couple of my nicer ones (don't have pics of the whole rifle)...

This stock has been on 3 rifles - came on a 45-70, transfered it to a 375 H&H, and now is on a 450-400 NE:

Wow, beautiful #1's fellas..

Not a very good pic, but this 375 H&H is one of my most accurate rifles. It's a standard 1H that came with Circassian walnut left over from the Boddington series of No. 1's:

I have a handful of 100 yd targets just like this and this is the last time I shot it on paper:

This is an interesting No. 3 in 22 K Hornet that someone put together. I snagged it off the used rack at a LGS.

It shoots good also - 5 and 10 shots at 100 yds:

Todd, If you are referring to me, I am sorry and you ARE right. I am on a new operating system, Windows 11 and the switch is giving me fits. The top one is a #1S in 45-70 and the bottom rifle is a #1B in 30-06 Both rifles are 130 pre-fix.
Owww…my toe! Ok, I’ll edit in calibers. Sheesh! 😎

😂😂😂 Thanks…..I think. 😳
Left to right, 450 Nitro Express (2010), .243 (1977), .270 (1969 4 digit S/N), 458 Win Mag (1999).

The .243, I got for my 12th birthday in 1978 and it has thousands of miles on it. Both in hand and on horseback....it's killed a pile of stuff. The wood was pretty much torn up, but I refinished it about 15 years ago.
The 270, my dad bought used from a friend in 1973 for $200.

Tony
