Stocky's has carbon-fiber blem stocks available for $299.00 for the Howa mini-action. The blems are apparently cosmetic and easily repaired. They weigh 17 oz.

I bought one several months ago. Makes for a very lightweight rifle.
James, what chambering did you go with and how accurate? Are you using the factory barrel? TIA
6.5 Grendel. Very good shooting out to 250 yards. I replaced both the factory stock and the factory magazine with the bottom metal from Oregon Gunsmithing. Here's a couple of pics of the rifle.

Has anyone tried to modify one for a Model 7? I know the recoil lugs are different but how off will the action screw holes be? Just a thought
Just got a Carbon .223 about two weeks ago. Nice, but I think I prefer Wayne York’s stocks overall. Still undecided if the Carbon Look is for me. Might wrap it that stretchy camo tape until I decide, which should quiet it a bit.
Congrats to the lady on the buck James!

I don't really care for the look and feel of the Stocky's carbon stocks, and I'd really like to do something about it, but I'd hate to mess it up.
Great pic of the buck and young lady. Very nice buck there.

Heck I'd try to rattle can that stock and maybe hit it with some kind of texture paint or webbing. Hard to screw up when ultimately its removeable if needed.

That’s where my cheap brain was going too!

I used some of that stone-texture paint on a B&C. Like it pretty well, but if there’s one thing I ain’t, it’s an artist, nor even a skilled paint sprayer. Thought it might be interesting to leave the carbon showing through in lieu of making black streaks, but not sure I can pull that off, or even if it’s a good idea.

Hire a Puerto Rican kid or some meth head punk to paint it..

They all seem to be pretty talented with a spray can of paint and all the graffiti experience that they ALL have.

Just a thought....

Not sure I want a tribute to Disco Dan on my rifle.

When I was commuting into D.C. on the MARC trains, almost every car we passed had been tagged with “Disco Dan”, sometimes with an artists’ rendition of the rascal to boot. Apparently, that’s no longer a thing.
