Does anyone know with certainty whether the feed rails on the NULA Model 20 Short used for wider cartridges such as the 6.8 SPC are different (e.g. wider) to those when chambered in .223 etc? I know the magazine is wider and of course the bolt face opened up. Thanks.
Why not be certain and contact Melvin or Wilson directly?

Melvin's retired from all that and the people at Wilson Combat who answer emails will probably not know because they only offer the Model 20 Short in .223, 300 HAMR and 350 Legend.
I would think Melvin would do warranty work or consultation on a NULA.

Quote from his web site.

Melvin Forbes will continue to provide service for all Colt Light Rifles and Forbes’ Rifles. The Colt Light Rifle was sold with a conventional synthetic stock and many owners send them in to be restocked with the same stock used on NULA rifles. Additional services include re-barreling, trigger replacement, general cleaning and preventive maintenance and care. Contact Melvin Forbes at (304) 292-0600

I have a model 20 short, chambered in .20 Titan (Grendel). You want a measurement? Just let me know what you need.

Thanks, would you know whether the feed rails are identical to say a .223 version?

I do not know the answer to that question.
The gentleman who was Melvin’s machinist and is now running the business as OutKast arms addressed it in your other thread. You might reach out to him if you want further confirmation.

Thank you for that information.

Thanks, I'm fully aware of that, but hoping to get independent confirmation as I heard that the feed rails are different...hence the request for verification.
Unless you can talk to Melvin directly, Zach at Outkast Arms is your best verification.
