Have a 243 Rem 700. Would like to convert to ACIS bottom metal/ 5 round clip for better COAL. Just don't know where to look for good price and getting something I would be happy with. Don't want much protrusion since I tend to cradle in the middle when carry thru woods. Also have some 105bthp Hornady that appears to stabilize in Rem oem. I do wish it was a faster twist/6mm Creedmoor. Enjoying a new 6.5 Creed RemArms new production at moment to give hint.

Should I just see what the 105 hornady does and be happy with that?

105 bthp is rather awesome in my old Rem 700 243 win ADL Ti stock setup. I’ve ran them out to 1k on steel and through a few whitetails and other critters out to a couple hundred yards.
