I found a Brno ZKK-601 at auction in .25-284 caliber. The description says the bore has corrosion and the rifling is worn. I am thinking this would make a good candidate for rebarreling to something like 7mm-08. The plus is that it is a CRF rifle.

Ammo is readily available for the 7mm-08 and it is not outrageously priced. Unlike the existing .25-284 caliber, I wouldn't have to form brass, spend $150 plus for dies, or reload if I didn't want to.

How hard is it to rebarrel a Brno? I would have a gunsmith do it.

CORRECTION: The rifle is built on a Brno M98/22 or Brno vz24. I saw the Z peeking out from under the scope base and given it was a short action caliber, I made the wrong assumption.

Shouldn't be any harder than rebarreling any other action. Any competent smith should be able to do it.
Could rebore to .284 perhaps
There were be a lot choices if I rebored it. I'm thinking .260 Rem, 6.5-08, etc. along with the .284 Win.
284 has a fatter case, 308 based cartridges won't work for a rebore.
