I saw winchester is chambering rifles for this little bugger but I can't find any ballistic info on it. Thanks for anyhelp,,,,,,,,BH
They are claiming it duplicates .25/06 speeds and will offer the Ballistic Silvertips in 85 & 115 gr. as well as the 120 gr. PXP. Would have made more sense to create the .25 on the WSM case rather than the WSSM to surpass .25/06 specs but perhaps the WSSM gives it everything they could get out of a WSM.
so where is everyone finding this info?? I looked in the Winchester site & didnt see anything...
Its a crap shoot at this time, there is some talk of the 25WSSM being in a little larger case than the 243 WSSM. There are 25 WSSM's made from 2433 brass, being shot now and they won't catch a 25-06 in any bullet weight. I have a 257 WSM and am getting velocities very near the 257 Weatherby.

I can't believe they didn't bring out a .25 on the WSM case--what a dumb marketing decision! Speed sells, and that little shortie is going to be hard pressed to beat a .257 AI.
Sure does leave a fine opportunity for Remington to bring out the .25 SAUM. A 6.5 would be great too. I'm not sure they would introduce something which would directly compete with the .260, though.
