does it use their standard trigger assembly or is it specifically improved for harsh conditions? In other words is the rifle nothing other than a standard 700 with trinite (SP?) coated SS receiver and barrel?

All X-Mark Pro trigger parts are plated.

Run it as is. That reminds me that In need to pull my rifle apart because I was using it to look for an arrow in a bog yesterday. Multi Use rifle..(grin)

Do you have one of those? I've been thinking about getting one... I like the idea of the adjustable X-Mark trigger. The original x-mark pro on my 25-06 is waaay too heavy.

It's adjustable too.

I know the originals are. I'm going to do it before it's next trip to the range. I've had a few other toys that have been keeping me away from playing with that gun. Do you have one of the new XCR2's? I am pretty interested in one, just have to decide which chambering I "need".

No I don't think I'm going to buy another Remington, unless it's used and cheap.

Everyone needs a .30-06.

I have a 223, 243, 25-06, 300WM, and 300WSM, so I was thinking either something in the middle like a 280, 7mmRM, or 30-06, or a 338 on the high end. Not sure which way to go. I'd also like to hear from someone that has one of these rifles, if anyone on the campfire has bought one.

With what you have now, I'd go 280. Why have an '06 when you already have two 300mags? 7mmRemmy is close enough to the two mags, why bother... 280 is just below the 7mm enough for it to serve a different purpose.

Tony, thank you for your thoughts. The 280 was what I was leaning toward as well. Seems like it would compliment my others guns, without alot of overlap.

I bought a XCR II 280 a month ago. Shoots pretty damn good. The $100 rebate is nice.
