I just got a 308 and was wondering if any body has any good loads for this combo?

Nope, too expensive for my blood. I use the 150 hornady sp interlock bullets in all my 308's. I usually run 47 gr. of RE-15 in R-P OR Winchester cases and CCI 200 primers. This load should work very well with the sst's also. I get sub moa groups with this load.

I just loaded up some using imr 4895, I'm going to try to get to the range next weekend. Don't have a chrony, but I got a couple of rifles to try them in. Hornady section in loadbooks USA manual says max load is 46.4gr, I loaded up a batch with 44.6(LC brass, CCI 200 primer) I'll try 'em in my 99 and my brothers Savage short action(model 11 i think) and get back to you. That charge worked good with interlocks, figured it would be a good place to start.

I couldn't get 150 grain Hornady's (Interlocks or SST's) to shoot well in my .308 WIN (a WIN M88), but the Interlock 165 grain BT bullets and IMR 4064 shoot MOA for me.

Try 45.5 up to 47grs RE15, Rem or Win cases, CCIBR or Rem primer or even 210M or WLR would work, too. 45.5 was the most accurate in my testing with 150 Sierra SBTs. Sgot a nice group this past weekend with the 150SPs and 45.5grs, WLR primer, Rem brass.

150 SST, 43.5 grains 3031, Rem brass, WLR, 2.81" does 1/2 MOA in my Kimber. 150 Interbond does the same with the same load. GMX about 3/4 MOA with the same load. That has turned out to be a pretty versatile group of bullets.

All i shoot is SSTs but in 165gr, 43gr Varget, Win primers. They shoot great out of both my 308s.

My .308 likes 150 gr. NBP's and the most accurate powder is H4895.

I load 150gr sst's over 46grs of re-15 in win brass with a wlr primer. Shoots 1/2 moa all day long in my kimber montana. Great deer boolit....no bueno on wild hog shoulders though.

What's your experience with the SST's on hogs? I found that my 6.5-284, shooting 140 gr. SST's at 2,950 fps, would drill a 300# boar hog right thru the head at 225 yds. In and out, right behind the ear, through his spine. Now, I've had 180 gr. NBT's at 3,000+ from a .300 Win Mag, blow up on a hog's head, leaving a gaping wound on the intake side, something like I imagine a Claymore mine would do. It has been my impression that the SST's were less frangible than the NBT's. That's why I use the heavier NBT's in my .300 Win Mag, thinking that slower, heavier bullets wouldn't blow up so bad. The main reason I keep using them is the high B.C. (.507) and extreme accuracy in that gun.

165 SST with 46.0 grains of Winchester 748/Federal case/CCI BR Primer/2730 fps from a 20" barrel and .35 MOA.

46.0 of Reloader 15 and 150 SST's have accounted for a bunch of Texas whitetail, axis and blackbuck over the past 7 or 8 years. My little Sako Mannlicher Carbine loves em! I've done a fair share of killin with the 130's in a 270 also.
