.35 Remington carbine

If all goes as planned, the boy will take that one when he grows into it. It'll have a lot more blood on it by then.

Two more critters with it and you'll likely have the bore worn out.....
Posted By: NH K9 Re: pump rifles - 02/09/12
It's doing okay in that regard, though our little NH deer probably don't count to a southern gent/AK traveller. That's the only pic I have as I don't take 'em in the field. I think ET snagged that one.

No, I assumed you shot 50 times per critter, get it.....grin
Posted By: NH K9 Re: pump rifles - 02/09/12
I was trying to avoid that line of thought grin .

I only had to fan shoot that hog, the deer have been one shot each.

I'm gonna have to redeem myself this year......

Always thought one of these would be a nice addition

Too bad Uberti couldn't find its way clear to use a little more imagination on cartridge options for their production.

I've shown this one before, a Rem 760 in 300 Savage. Took the scope off it awhile back and prefer it this way.

Like the original Colt, the Taurus is a short-stroke pump gun that feeds from a tubular magazine that rides beneath the barrel. For Cowboy Action Shooters, this rifle has the potential of being the fastest rifle available in competition; however, it can be a little finicky at times.

No pics yet but I just picked up 2 pump rifles. First one was a 1967 Remington 760 30/06 that went to the smith for a total revamp. Next up is a Remington 572 22lr made in the mid 80's. All I've done to that one is installed a Williams WGRS-54 rear peep with a Skinner front post and a Montana sling. As soon as the 06 comes back both trigger groups are getting sent to Redneck to get worked.

I have a Remington 7600 Carbine 30-06 Spr. with a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm Scope. It shoots 1 1/4" groups with 165 gr. Fusion ammo and gets better each time I shoot it. It's my favorite big game hunting rifle/carbine. Don't have any pic's of it right now.

NYH1. wink

Other side of the pond too: 7600 and 760 pump are used all day during hunting season by people who prefer to hunt and kill than come and show off...Really efficient driven hunt rifles!

35 Whelen is master at the game but 280 is also there, not far.

For years 7600 and 7400 in 35 Whelen were available here, when not even displayed on Remington catalogs...

Here with real wild boars, no feral pigs or crossbred. Swift and strong, using heavy cover, these "keiler" can open dogs like knive cut butter.
