Anybody have experience with this bullet? Good? Bad?
I sure like them - the older Non-Moly coated ones that is.
I think I have 20 boxes of them that I managed to buy up. My Gander Mtn Guide rifle sure seems to like them, and my Kampfeld .243 really likes them.

As far as on game, I used them last year in Wyoming and had 3 one shot kills on antelope from about 100 to 200 yards so nothing way out there but all dropped at the shot.

Pulled this out of the buck I shot.

A hunting pard shot a heavy whitetail this past fall w/ one of the moly'd versions at close range and it was DRT.

Been tough to get bullets of similar weight shooting as well as those through that rifle, too...
Its my go to round for my kimber montana, nice small groups! The bullets i have caught are picture perfect mushrooms with high weight retention. My wife and i have busted some nice size hog shoulders and bullets have held together perfectly. I love that little .243!
Thanks guys. I shot a few through my .243 and they shoot incredibly well.
At our lease several guys only use the Federal Fusion ammo,243,7-08,30-06,7Rem mag and 300 Win mag.All shot 3/4in or better groups and kills deer, pigs and varmints without any troubles. Most where complete pass throughs.

My Montana loves 'em. Work well on piggies.
I wish they would make them without the moly coating still along with the federal 100gr partition load. I use the 140gr Fusions in a few 7mm-08's and they have been excellent.
The 120 Fusions from a 7-08 are a deer destroyer as well! Not to mention the best grouping bullet Ive ever shot from any of my 7-08's.

This seems to be one bullet that you just don't hear anything bad about.

I've only heard one person complain about them(claimed they were too expansive).... A fellow hunter told me they shot quite well in his 300WM, but failed to exit on small whitetails. I bought some in 338 Fed for the brass(200g) and they shot well enough, so I whacked a couple small deer with them. One gave typical cup & core performance with an exit at 250yds, the other failed to exit on a small deer with bone impact at 100yds. Too small of a sample to form an opinion, but they seemed to do as well as any other cheap cup & core pill. Just looking at the profile of one, I wouldn't consider them tough by any means. It just doesn't take much to kill medium game.

The 150gr 7mm Remington Mag Fusions shoot very very well out of my Blaser R-93. And it so far dropped every thing I shot with them over the last 7 years with one shot and very little blood shot meat. As you all know the 7mm Remington is a bit much for most white tail hunting. I am getting a 243 barrel later this year and the first load I am going to shoot is Fusion 95 gr 243 Loading. My guess its going to be the perfect load for my New England White Tails.
Saw a buck get pole-axed with the 95 fusion out of a .243 last year. Range was 250ish..... buck went about 3 feet..... straight down. Bullet broke both scapula and exited, internal damage was just about what I'd expect from a 100 grain bullet started at 3k..... nothing amazing..... but nothing out of the ordinary either.

I can't think of an animal I'd point a .243 at.... that I wouldn't shoot with one of those loads.

Yes, indeed, and if I were to run a factory round, the Fusion line is right where I would start, and most likely, end.
Kills hogs with ease as my wife demonstrates to me every chance she gets!

One of the few that I've caught.
