I have a Ruger Hawkeye African with a barrel band sling swivel stud. I am looking for a plug to use in the front swivel stud hole of the McMillan MK-II Classic stock on the rifle. Anyone done this before or have any input?

Fill it AccraGlass tinted black.

I would look for a SS or aluminum flush mount screw.

Anyone have any idea what size screw? 10-32 possibly?

Yes, 10-32. An allen or slot head grub screw would provide a neat finish.
