I have seen pictures of the tikka t3 hunter with irons and was wondering if anyone knows where one might acquire such a rifle? One of my hunting locations frequents shots under 50 yards so I don't really need a scope (the last deer I took there was within bayonet range, might need one of those as well). Would it be cost efficient to have tikka/sako style irons installed?

Hey mate, down here in australia you can purchase the rifle with sights from the dealer if theyre in stock, otherwise they just order one in on the next shipment for you. I dont know if rifles with the optional iron sights are imported into the USA though.

If I remember correctly they imported one for a short while called the Battue. It didn't last long for some reason.

Any blued Tikka can be ordered with iron sights. I had a Lite in 9.3x62 with iron sights and am kicking myself for selling it. Just ask your local dealer to bring one in for you.
